I would not kill my dog.

There are other sources of food. Besides, my dog could hunt and feed us both. The longer he lives, the longer we BOTH live.

I believe the question is would you eat your dog to *survive*. And not how would you and your dog survive on an island. So there is no other choice...eat your dog and survive or not eat the dog and die.

I would eat the dog. Its all about survival. Plus I hear dog is pretty tasty

It would be better to keep the dog for companionship...not that kind. One of the basic necessities for survival after food, is shelter and companionship. Food can be obtained from a variety of different sources, like bugs, plants and the ocean. I know it sounds stupid, but why do you think they included that stupid volleyball Wilson on Castaway with Tom Hanks? The need for companionship. How long do you think it would take you to eat all of the meat off of a dog? About two days? Good survival skills..

            That's sad that you're offended, it's a legitemate question.

Here, I'll fix it for you. If you had a dog shaped pizza, but it was magic and acted exactly like a dog, and you wouldn't know the difference unless you saw it, would you eat the pizza-dog?

I think that heat is still a little upset that the cat carrier pic thread was closed.

I could never eat my dog, EVER! She is just to cute, and she is a minature shnowzer (sp) so how much meat is that gonna give you? Dogs will always last longer then humans, so just follow them around and do what they do. They scratch you scartch. They sleep you sleep, they eat you eat.

More importnaly then eating your dog, I think first priority would be finding fresh water.

If it was a big dog, like a St. Bernard or Sheep Dog, you could probably butcher it out and salt the meat for jerky using the sea salt that was left over from dehydrated sea water.

Then you could tan the hide for a nice blanket or something to sleep on.

The bones would come in handy for hunting tools, fish hooks, weapons, etc.

Overall, it would be a decent experience.

Now, if it is a weiner dog? It'd probably give you a single meal and a lot of gas. Man those things can be annoying.

nope, not upset at all.. it's such a stupid thing to be upset about. But once you complain about something THAT stupid I never will stop harassing ppl about it. Maybe ppl will stop being offended about every stupid thing.

I got a little problem with always having to have the last word hehehe

I think it would be hard as hell it eat a dog if he didnt want to be eaten, atleast mine anyways. Im sure u would need a dog that would sit and let u get a hold of it, or like a club or something.
