    anyone good with butterfly knives?

just like the title says. Do we have any aoers that can sling these things? Ive been practicing for about 6 months now and ive gotten really good at it. But ive also cut my hand open multiple times while practicing. LOL

They are really fun though. And the ladies like it. I know some of you easterners play with knives cmon.

I prefer a more solid knife. A nice strong folding knife or a solid is the best for me.

I bought my dad a 6" diver's knife for father's day. Its solid stainless steel, all the way through the handle, the grip is hard plastic with grip. It's nicely molded to the hand and made of good materials.

They are a blade that has two handles hinged at the base of it. When closed, the two handles cover the blade. When open, the two handles lock together to form the handle.

The problem with them, or at least for me, is that with the two little handles they're not really very sturdy.

For some reason that pirate dude makes me think of the scene where indiana jones shoots the ninja guy after he does all that whirly crap. hehe

well I can do most of the stuff he is doing too, just not link it all together like that. Thats what impresses me. And also how he does 2 at the same time is pretty incredible because I can hardly even open it with my left hand.

                            Balisong rules!

Yeah he's good but not great. I'm impressed at the hand to hand flips in the first video though. I can't do that as cleanly.

I can, however, go much faster with two. Took a lot of practice though. The best thing to do if you're practicing is to 3 or 4 layers of electrical or duct tape around the blade (of your practice one). You might even want to put a strip on the bite handle so you can feel where it is initially. Especially if you're going to try throws or anything.

EDIT: Pacific cutlery makes non cheap ones.

EDIT2: That looks like clay groz-something-or-other. If it is, he can go a LOT faster then that.....
