Medicinal has been fine for a year or two now. one of my friends had smoked some, and apparently he said it was real crap. The de-criminalization is being tested on us, before the actual Canadian Government has changed ruling. a few people i know just got fines, and cheap ones at that. they were told, under strict orders not to give anything other than fines. so i guess you could call me a guinea pig.

There are tons of people at my school that think that MJ is evil and if you ask them why, they say things like "It will make you turn gay, and it will fry your brain, and make you want to kill yourself." That right there is ignorance and who do we have to thank for that? People like you and the government who is constantly feeding us lies and propoganda because they want it their way. And about the unbiased facts, I was tired and in a rush to leave the house, so I don't know where that came from, so ya, unbiased facts are hard to find. But it seems that you only want to accept the ones put out by the people who's job's depend on MJ being illegal. This dosen't seem like a good way to get information. And the side effects from smoking weed, hmmm... lung damage? And also another thing, for those of you that say smoking MJ is 10X worse on your lungs than smoking ciggs, put it like this, most smokers I know smoke 1-2 packs a day, thats about 40 ciggs, they say a joint is= to 4 ciggs, I know most people don't even smoke a joint a day. How is smoking MJ worse on your lungs then? I don't know. Oh and Heat, I've quit smoking for a while now, so don't go there.

Heat, you may not like MJ ... thats fine and I will support your dislike, thats your right as an American. It is however also my right to speak up against laws that I do not believe are right, one of the wonderful rights the rest of us Americans have ... and one of the things that makes the Constitution as great as it is ... a set of laws laid down by the people for the people. And if some people feel the laws are not correct they can try to change them.

I am using my right as an American to show that I feel these laws are not okay and will work towards changing these laws to the best of my ability.

MJ smoking may not be good for your body, and then again the impacts may also be not as drastic as some would have you believe ... studies come out all the time both for and against ... Its up to the individual to take it apon themselves to read whats presented and make up their own mind.

Its proven that cig smoking is more harmful to a person, yet this is fully legal. Drinking kills brain-cells and is a classified medical depressent drug, yet it is also legal ... in both cases a minimum age limit is impossed under the belief that a person needs to be such an age to understand the risks and take it upon themselves to put those risks into their body.

I for one would love to see it legalized and an age limit impossed to follow such established guide lines.

So we reach the point of my post ... you do not like it and work against law reform, that is your stand. Myself, I do like it and will work for law reform and that is my stand. We stand and live at two sides of an issue that is older then either of us, and neither plans on bending towards the others view point.

In essence we are stalemated, so a argument from either side is pointless and will only waste disk I/O time and disk space ...

I have made my point, you yours ... lets see which of us can be the bigger man an accept that we will not get the other to budge and let the thread live for it was designed for, and not as a personnal soap box for our views. I would ask that should you feel free to continue that you start a thread specifically about your views against MJ.

Damn it, now I need to find something else to do with my time And I apologize for trying to force my veiws on others, because it seems that is what people think I am doing. I just didn't like being called an idiot. And I truley didn't understand Heat's stubborness and how people can think the way he does, how he wants ignorance over knowledge. I am sorry if I misunderstood your post heat, but that is how I took it and I am still somewhat confused on your veiws on this.
