Crazy Day at Ocean City, NJ....Fights, Guns, Drunks

Wow

I went to OC last night and the place was packed with people. I was with my dumbarse friends who were all drinking (i wasnt, im the responsible one of the group)

So we start walking the boardwalk, and some kids start trying to fight us. We had like 12 people, and htye had like 2, so were like not worth it lets go on. then some other group of kids starts tryin to fight us. So 3 of my drunk friends havce to act like tough guys, go up to the kids, and start talking more trash. my one friend swung and dropped one kid, then my other friend started just punching everyone he saw and dropped like 4kids, and then cops came and told us to leave. So we left. My frends start walking down the street, and i had to go meet up with a kid cause he owed me money. So i went alone, and on my way these 2 black kids start chasing after me trying to run my pockets, so istart jettin, and the 2 kids split to try and cut me off. one kid kicks my legs out, i get up, and just punch him right in the face, dropped him, and his friend tried jumpin over a fence to get me, but fell while tryin to jump over (hahaha sucker) so i start runnin. Then later on i meet up with my friends, and they got into 2 more fights, and one of my friends had a gun pulled to his head after he dropped a kid, then cops came and they had a little standoff. So after that the cops are like "ok, we have had it with you guys, leave NOW" so we left.

You are real lucky that you didn't get locked up:
1) Dry town-could of locked you up for holding
2) Drunk and Disorderly
3) Simple Assault
4) Disturbing the peace.

The cops must have been real busy if they let you go, because the OC police are usually very strict. Were these real cops or the "Special Officers" they hire for the summer?

This is one reason I hate going to the Jersey shore anymore.

Last year I went down to Wildwood with my friends, and we went out on the boardwalk. We weren't 100% sober, but we were all over 21, and we were just minding our own business anyway, we were just lookin for food.

These 3-4 kids who MUST have been on speed or some other such drug started harassing us. Getting right up in our faces and sayin all this crap. My friend Matt and our friend Danny almost got into a fight with the kids when they wouldn't go away, luckily a cop walked by and the kids bolted.

WTF is wrong with people? When did the boardwalk become more hostile than spanish harlem?

They were probably wannabe specials because if they heard that one of the subjects had a gun, there would have been a tone-out and OC would have been filled with police. You should have told one of the cops (or had your friend tell them) that one of the kids had a gun and gave the best description you could have. Consider yourself very lucky and stay away from these "friends" becuase one of these days they might get you seriously injured and/or killed.

antics like this and Thordic's story kept me away from the Boardwalk in my many fun-filled years in OC.

all i have to say is that it is due to them damn rappers and them ghetto blasters!!(said in old man voice)

anyway, it is somewhat difficult to avoid a fight when people are in your face like in automaggin's story. there is a difference between being the cracked out kids starting the fight and beating the crap outa someone in self defense

OC is great!

This is an aberation. OC is awesome. Tons of cops and special officers all over during the summer. I spend many weekends down there. Hell I was down there this weekend and don't recall seeing any disturbences. Don't judge OC by this very isolated incident. Look at the crime blotter in the AC Press. No real violent crime in OC!

Someone had a gun or did they insinuate that they had one? If so this shocks me! This is the kind of thing I'll bring up at the next council meeting!

I believe guy got arrested, tehy let me friend go. My friend was so scared.

Alls i was told is my friend Mark was walkin and some kid started talkin trash, so my friend told him to chill out. Then the kid pushed my friend and then swung at him, my friend ducked and just upper cutted him and the kid flew back, then pulled out a gun right ot his head. And then a supposedly a cop came and settled the dispute, arrested the suspect, and let my friend go.

What i dont get, is they just let my friend go. Didnt take down his name or anything. Dont they need him to go to court to testify against this guy

I had nothin to do with the fighting, i just went into the crowd and watched. The only fight i got in is when those 2 kids tried jumpin me.
