    What car.......

i would get a nice integra type r or gsr and hook it up( not like body kits and stuff) i would go for some engine mods first.with that cash left over i would try and lighten the car.

Man, you should try and find a Mitsubishi 3000 GT. Those are so nice and there werent even that many made. I'm not sure how much they go for but they look and drive so sick. Look into it man, just thought I'd give you my opinion.

I'd get a 97+ GTP. With about 2k in mods, you can be running low 13s.

        depends what you're gunna need...

you said your dad doesn't want you gettin a job so there's no point in a truck really.

I would look at a Nissan Maxima... for 10g you could get a nice used one. They're great cars, they actually perform pretty well too.

My truck is louder than yours. A lot louder.

99 civic SI prolly take all that $10k
90-91 CRX 500-900 bones + dohc 1.6 from 99 SI or Integra 900-1500 ish +some nice wheels, paint, interior, suspension, exhaust, tires, and perifrials about 3000-4000 and it will run circles around the SI... do some engine mods while you are at it and you could prolly squeak out a 12 if you hold your mouth just right.

or you could always get a 1st gen GSX eclipse or a TSI talon... Turbo and all wheel drive is awesome... easily going to be able to get the 12's with 10 g's and dare I venture that 11s or 10s are within reach with the right effort in the right places.

I hate SUVs with a passion.
Plenty of good cars out there for 10 large.
Personally, I think the 300zx is a great car with class.
Depends what you're into.. you can get old Lexus SC300/SC400s for 10 if you look around hard enough.
                But..

I would say, look at your mechanical abilities, as of right now. Do you have the ability/know-how/equipment to pull the engine yourself and, say, change the clutch in your own garage? If not, I'd say stick with a nice, newer, low-milage, low-maintenance car. Sure, it's nice to have a slightly older, more complex sports car. But how are you gonna pick up your girlfriend once you fry that old clutch of yours? Of course, if you have a real steady income (which I don't believe you do being only 15), then you can get the work done at a shop ($$$).

$10,000 equals about $18-20,000 here in Australia, so I've got a few options, I could build a rotor that'd run 10's all day every day in a RX-2 or RX-3 shell.

Or I could go for an R32 Skyline and work the motor a bit more, prob run 13's, maybe 12's with the right work.

yes you offically suck. an R32 here in the US would run me real close to 25k for a car that maybe costs 8k everywhere else. Dam DOT and EPA!

I would be suprised if half of these guys knew how to change thier own oil. Building a street/race car isnt simply just bolting parts on and heading out. At 15 do you really need to run 10/11's? Buy a new ranger. You can get them right around 10k new for a stripper truck with a/c.

I just bought a 94 ranger so I could start my project miata, let me tell you its a cool little truck for being almost 10years old.

Well I for one know what I am talking about. I have helped a friend with his SI before he totaled it, and then with his CRX. Had a TSI for a while. Swapped a bluprintted LT1 into my friends truck, did some nice paint, body work, fascia, stereo, interior, and swapped in the new tranny yesterday afternoon. Did a little front end work on my buddies Viper that was a ***** to get the new front splitter in (he jumped a curb coming out of a strip joint and bent the splitter). swapped several other engines in cars/trucks to sell or race. My current project at the moment is finding some syclone manifolds so I can Turbo my 4.3 liter chevy, should be quite the head turner when its all complete.

Another option is the mazda mx-5 or ford probe. fairly good cars for kids not too expensive perform well and will corner fairly well.
