It gets even better when you realize the idea of heaven doesn't work.
"What we have to accomplish at this time is all the more clear: relentless criticism of all existing conditions, relentless in the sense that the criticism is not afraid of its findings and just as little afraid of the conflict with the powers that be."

Well looking from a scientific point of view, the point of life is to get laid as much as you can, that way you can pass on your genes as much as possible.

      Who am I to argue?

Yes I think the point of living is different in many different people. I for one think that everyone should live for the same thing, but I dont want to start anything and get band for bringing up religion, all I'm gonna say is I'm a Christian too, and that is my point of living.

there IS no point. all of us are just gears in a huge machine...humans=NOTHING. just think about it. do you know how replacable ANY of us are in jobs? all that needs to happen is a few dudes that invent a robot that takes away the jobs of millions of people...so in other words, we're just here to move technology along, and to experience things along the way in our "free time" which is really just fueling the machine farther. i know i sound like a nut job but you need to THINK about it a little and it makes sence. im not suicidal either. i dont mind helping the machine, i just dont want to be fed bs in the process.

The point in living is to find out how to live.

Not to brown nose...but these are words spoken by an unselfish man. I live life to find some meaning. It's different for all of us. For me, it's all about being the best person I can be to those around me, family, friends, coworkers, strangers...I always try to be a positive influence. When I die, I want people to remember who I was to them, and hopefully be an inspiration to them. If I can influence someone to be a better person to those around them, I've done my part to share a part of me with that person. And if that person can influence someone else, it's nice to know that maybe I had a hand at making this world a better place. Sounds optimistic and overbearingly cheerie...but hey...that's just me.

I've been asking that myself alot lately. Why am I here? I go to work so that that I can make ends meet. It a continuous cycle that never ends. If I stop working I will lose my home, so I'm forced to work. But for what really? At one point in my life when I was going through a huge depression and complating if it even matter if I lived or not, I always would go back to this question. Was it really worth it if I'm going through my life working, paying bills everyday only to wake up the next morning just to do it over again? Is my only existence on earth is just to survive? To do what everybody in socialty does? Sometimes it just seem hopeless.

There is a great book by Rick Warren called Purpose Driven Life. If you don't know why you're here and want to know, get it. It's like $12 at Sams.

That said, I know why I'm alive, and it is a great feeling.
