        I had tendinitis in my achilles during football season and I could not run at all, becuase of the pain. I had to run flat footed until I took a week off, which was very slow. It took a couple of weeks to heal and it has been fine ever since.

        Me friend's dad totally tore his achilles playing tennis and had to wear a cast for three months. Now it has been almost a year and it has still not totally healed, so he walks with a limp and is very slow.
