i did the medic training..that's why it took me so long...it takes a LONG time. you actually sit through 3 different classes, take a test, and if you pass all three, you have to do field training, and then you are cert to be a medic...pain in the ***...

how do you pick what weapons you use?! and how the hell do you control your breath....AND, how come i can't go for adv. marksmanship?

Wow...the medic training seems complicated. I will wait to try it. You can't control your breathing when in sniper mode. You need to time it with your shot though. Thats why I can't pass it. You can choose weapons once you get into a game. There are only a certain amount of specialized weapons available though. 1 sniper per team and only on certain maps. Usually 1-4 saws per team also. Depends on how many players. Players with higher honor have rank when it comes to choosing weapons. Hit F2 to change class, which chooses weapons.

If you lie down and use the bipod for the sniper rifle, and then watch the heartbeat (IIRC) meter on the right, when the bar is full the shot is at it's steadiest. Of course, you're still breathing, so there's still some skill required, but it's far easier. With some practice, you should be able to snipe enemies with the M16. Also keep in mind that when you fast-crawl, your steadiness indicator resets... so crawl slowly if you need to move while sniping.

Here's a guide I started writing on the Weapons Cache map. It contains some generic tips that should help the newer players.
