    world's most overrated movie?

maybe it's only cuz i just saw it once, and maybe it's just me...but i just saw reservoir dogs, and it really wasn't all that great. the characters aren't exactly loveable...they all stab eachother in the back...and the way they tried to make the movie was very pulp fiction-esque...cept pulp fiction did a better job of it...your thoughts? i'm ready for flaming though, cuz this is a real popular movie lol.

note: i didn't like pulp fiction much until the second or third time i saw it

I loved Pulp Fiction, but I have yet to see Resevoir Dogs. The similarities may be due to the fact that Quentin Tarantino directed both movies.

I know I'm going to hear it from everybody...but I didn't enjoy Bladerunner like everyone else did.

Maybe I missed the overall plot(cause I fell asleep)...but I just couldn't get into the movie.

          Exactly.

Of course the movies are going to be similar if the same director headed both of 'em.

If I remember correctly, Dogs came out BEFORE Pulp Fiction, too.

I basically think that anything terantino produces automatically sucks.

The most overrated movie though, Bowling for Columbine....All my retarded friends went to see it and thought it was real...I just bit my lip and walked away.

ok ok so reservoir dogs is similar to pulp fiction because it's the same director..that wasn't the main point. the main point is..what the hell is the attraction to the movie? i think it's one of those movies everyone says they like so everyone feels the need to like it too...cuz really...it was horrid...prove me wrong, so ican enjoy the movie i spent a whole damn hour downloading.

I liked Resevior Dogs because their were NO truly "good" people in it. Sometimes it gets old having some of the main characters in movies have that little catch to them to endere them to you. Like the bad guys only doing the next "job" to move him and his family somewere safe or to avenge his dying father or blah blah blah...I like Resevior Dogs for its no BS aproach to characters. Their flat out criminals, cept for the undercover cop- and he basically is anyways, thats what they do and they dont have some cheesy heart of gold like in a Disney movie. For me, that grittiness actually made me like some of the characters, specially Steve Busemi's character. Maybe its just not your kind of movie, I like it but I definetley dont know how u could watch it repeatedly. I'm at art school and I friggin' HATE Blade Runner, wich is tanamount to high treason here, so I know how u feel about just not getting a certain movie.

OMFG one of the worst flics ever... It was like 3 hours of war story robbery in a box that should of read: "Titanic 2"

Another terrible flic is "Hollow Man" in fact that is the measuring stick I use to rate a true and utter bomb.

Quentin Tarentino flics are not for all... But damn they are far from bad.

Yeah it did! But we are talking about movies being overated, not generally acknowledged by the masses as having blown, like Pearl Harbor. I remember going bananas with my friends when we saw the previews for PH and they were playing the music from The Thin Red Line, I thought it would be the second coming. Later I heard it was directed by Michael Bay and new I should go drive of a cliff. U can say what u want about that Josh Hartenet? guy, but Ben Affleck truly sucks.
