Macs in my opnion are okay

they are great for video editing (media 100) although a media 100 system starts at $15,000 without moniter, we've got 2 of these at school, i'm in tv production awsome class

my home expierence with mac is a little more difficult

i just don't like OS 8.1 so i sold my g3 power mac for $20

my god... THAT IS SO TRUE! ALL PRE OS-X MACS ARE SUCH A PAIN COMPARED TO MY XP PRO PC!!!!! Other than that, macs kick

Being an editor on a pre os-x mac is really, really frustrating.

              .

                We have many pc's...

and a really cool mac! We bought one of those flat screen bubble ones. lol, thats all I really know. The only reason we bought one was for the media capabilities and the fact that the new OS is based on Unix.

My PC crashes at least ten times for every one crash I have on the Mac, and OS X is far more innovative than anything Microsoft peddles. Mac continually pushes the envelope on technology and design whereas PC's and Microsoft simply update without changing much.
Why change when it's working perfectly? Ever since I switched from Windows to Linux my computer (PC) has been trouble free for over a year.

Now I can work on a spreadsheet or a word document AND do video editing on the same machine.

                  I am liberated.

Now, I say this with the caveat that I have not yet used MAC OSX. While everything prior to that was...crap I hear it is quite good now. But why pay close to 6,000 for the 3,000 dollar system that does everything I need.

To each their own I guess.

Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.
