International Papers

There are a lot of good overseas papers that are printed in English to read. The BBC does an okay job of printing fair news with just a little bit of bias. Spanish, French, and German papers have been against our invasion from the beginning. There are some other papers that are pretty fair but there is no such thing as an unbiased news source unless reading the Onion or National Enquirer is your primary source for international news.

Agreed, definitely spam. And as for a response: we may be fat, oil-mongering, militaristic, and racist, but at least our toilets dont flush backwards and we still beat you in the olympics. I think. Im just going to assume because Im too lazy to check and only 10 people live in Austrailia.

all your replies prove my point (violence isn't the answer to everything). And by the way more than 3 quarters of Australia in inhabitable, most of you wouldn't know that as you don't even know the outcome of the Olympics Games.

It's great with reverse flushing toilets. But we are SO behind technology, we just dig holes. My pet Kangeroo wouldn't like to be gunned down either. Australians are very worldly people, only Australians have such a vast knowledge and perception on the rest of the world (thats all we hear about) we don't have exciting things like Space Launches, Serial Killers, Snipers or National Security (at least not to your extent). Don't get me wrong Americans in gereral couldn't be as bad a we see on international news (your news CNN news).

I'm not attacking Americans, just some of your major decisions (not just reciently) have been foolish ones.

By the Way, we just got this new invention down here called the telephone (apparently some american invented it a while ago) thanks guys.. I can now call my mate Barry and Shazza down the street.

Another thing, And we're all proud of this one. A few 'Prime Minister's' ago we had a prime minister called 'Bob Hawlk' he held the national beer skulling record for years. see we have history aswell.

When has Australia ever earned more medals then the USA at any Olympic Games other then the Moscow games we boycotted?

I used to get angry at comments like the ones made by pjgow but now I just have to laugh. Its been said that americans are too violent, americans are too greedy and fat. Why does your country have soo many gun-related deaths? Your goverenment has set up dictators in other countries, blah blah blah. if the united states of america is such a huge corrupt, ignorant and horrible place, then please explain to me why so many people from other countries become citizens of the u.s. legally&illegally each year? if we are such a horrible country then why do we spend millions and trillions of dollars and sacrifice solider's lives each year to "police" the world. And speaking of money how much money did we provide to assist the tsunami victims of thailand last year and other natural and man-made disasters, famine and war throughout our existance as a country? How many young men and women have lost their lives in the middle east in an attempt to establish a democratic government in Iraq. Back in the early 90's the united states spent a lot of money and manpower on desert storm, we pulled out after Saddam's forces had been defeated to let the people of Iraq rebuild and regain power. A decade later Saddam was back in power. So we are screwed no matter what we do. if we pull out of country that has a corrupt governemet/dictatorship then we are not providing the "proper support". When we send in troops then we are labeled as baby killers and war mongers. WTF??? we cant win. Im sure you have heard the old saying that cops are always around when you dont want them but never around when you need one. I feel the rest of the world thinks this way about the united states. Also while we are at it lets add up all the money that other countries "owe" the united states either in monetry aid or equipment donation. The united states will never see that money again, while we are at it maybe we should pull all of troops and money out of any other country for 1 decade, only spend money and manpower on domestic affairs. I know this would never happen but it would intersting to see what would happen if we did.
