4 square is fun. I like all the calls, like Cherry Bombs and Atomic Bombs, and all that stuff. Peace!

I guess tag becaouse me and my friends would tell the girls we ahve cooties and chase them around. Well now they wont talk to me and think im a loser (except a few). I was alywasy bad at 4-square because i was chubby and couldnt catch the cherry bombs.

Smear the Qu-ear(mis-spelled for a reason) with Girls!

One ball, many players. Person who has the ball runs around the field until he/she is tackled on the ground. After they are tackled, that person throws the ball up and the next person who catches it needs to run like crazy.

Of course, with girls around, it made it even better. Just make sure if you're a guy, when it's time to throw the ball, make sure you throw it towards a girl!

My buddies and I used to play "Can-Tag".

You step on a coke can and crush it into a disc.

Then you threw it at someone.

Whoever got hit, was "it".

They had to count to 20 before they could pick it up and throw it at someone else.

Needless to say, not only did we get dinged up, but we used to get into trouble with the teachers a lot.

We played a version of this in Halo on the X-box a while ago. We networked 4 Xbox machines (16 guys), and after playing tons of CTF, we tried this version... I think it's called "skull"?

Another game we loved to play before school started was how many lunchboxes you can jump over. Yes, I said lunchboxes...the nice steel ones that rusted after some time...hehe!

Basically, you would stack up your lunchbox(yes, filled with food), and each person would take turns trying to clear that stack. If you couldn't clear it, you were out. Once the stack has been cleared, you added another one.

It was great fun and even better to find out what happened to your lunch inside when it was time to eat it.

haha i always use to play "Freeze tag" if you dont know what that is its tag but the person who is it has to tag everyone. once your tagged you cant move until another person comes and touches you then your unfrozen but after 3 times you were it haha no one could get me cuase i had this sweet spot on the tube slide and no one could jump high enough to get me lol

another great game wich i played hella lot when i was younger was bloody murder or ghost in the graveyard its not a school game but it was bad *** cuase you played at night and the fun thing is if you get a buntch of people together and go out to your friends farm and play now its so sweet lol easy to scare the crap out of people anyways time to vote so theres my favorite games

Although it's not grade school playground games... in high school we used to go:

ice blocking (buy a big ice block, put a towel on it, go sleding on the slopes of the local golf course - at night),

cow tipping...

and

TPing - toilet paper someone's house.

...ah the 80's were so much fun

We just used to call it Kill The Kid With The Ball, but same as Gibby described.

Wtf is Butt's Up? That is the gayest sounding game I have ever heard of.

butt's up:

5-10 kids
1 tennis ball
1 wall

Someone throws the ball at the wall and must hit the wall on the fly.

If the ball skips off the ground before hitting the wall, they must run as fast as they can and touch the wall before someone else picks up the ball and throws it at the wall.

If the kid running touchs the wall before the ball... he's safe. If the ball hits the wall before the kid does... it's butt's up time!

Penalty phase:

The poor kid has to place both hands on the wall (like he's being arrested), all the other kids playing get one free throw at the kid's butt (from about 50-60' away). If someone hits the kid in the butt, they get to throw again.

The game starts over.

If a throw during the game does hit the wall on the fly, then the next kid (doesn't matter who) tries to catch the ball as it bounces and rolls away from the wall.

If they catch the ball cleanly without dropping it, they must throw the ball at the wall just like the previous kid did.

However, if while trying to pick up the ball off the rebound, he bobbles the ball it drops it, he has to run to the wall also...

rinse, repeat...

Wall Ball

For those who don't know it:

RULES: up to 7 players, 1 tennis ball, one wall of any height, person with ball (who ever gets elected to do it) throws ball againt wall, when ball bounces, everyone must run for it, whoever picks up the ball has to throw it form where they caught it to the wall and have it bounce off the wall, if it doesnt make the wall, they have to run liek hell and touch the wall before someone else picks it up and throws it at the wall, if they dont get to the wall in time, you have to stand there whiel someone WHIPS the ball at you.
