Imponderables, deep thoughts, and other strange questions...

Post funny, interesting, and strange questions...

Answer them if you dare! :)

If you could drive a car at the speed of light, what would happen if you turned on your head lights?

If you tied buttered toast to the back of a cat and dropped it from a height, what would happen?

I'm pretty sure they would both spontaneously combust, because of the pure physics that the cat must land on it's feet, and the toast must land butter side down.

Here is a question I have been pondering for awhile. If energy is neither created nor destroyed.

Simple... they would apear to be off, no matter what, nothing can travel faster then the speed of light(without talking about wormholes)

I totally disagree. They would streak to the back of the car. Havent you seen Star Trek or Star Wars or Space Balls? Everytime the ships go faster than light, the lights leave streaks. There ya go, definite proof, hehe.

yes....but what if this car was a honda with a large rear wing, race muffler and a "Type-R" sticker? im sure that could go faster than light! :)

If you go to the store to buy batteries, you'll see:

              A, AA, AAA, C, D

              but no B...

How come there are no "B" size batteries?

                  Dude they're totally similar!

Both end up costing you more then you expect.

Both keep your favorite toys up and running.

Both can be a pain in the butt to remove after alcohol.

I mean the list is endless.

If you had a rigid(sp?) stick that was about 4 lightyears long and waved it around, wouldn't the end of that stick be traving faster than the speed of light?

If you go number 2, why do you have to wash your hands afterwards?

Afterall, the only things you really have to touch are your clothes and tissue paper...

Yes and no. Velocities in different places cannot be directly compared in general relativity. barring the existance of a truly rigid body, the end of the stick would only be exceeding the speed of light in relation to you, but it wouldn't actually overtake light to an observer at the other end of the stick.

If I remember physics correctly anyway. (which is doubtful)

If Star_Base_CGI is claiming that AO banned him over at Shattner.Com, can we ask the mods to ban him for real?

How is it possible that we found someone more annoying then CollegeBoy?
