well i have now read the thread that caused this stir. cb, i cant understand you or your thinking. while i understand your point that thousands of people die everyday, why you felt the need to add that little tid bit in a thread that was quite clearly intended to remember those who died on 9/11 is baffling. then, instead of reaizing that you have offended several people with your comments and altering them, you decide to pour gasoline on the fire with your holier than thou attitude. if you care so much for the nameless 150 thousand that die everyday, where is your daily memorial thread to them? i simply cannot figure out what in your brain told you that your post was a good idea in the first place. i guess thats the difference between people who care about their country and people like you who just dont give a ratsass.

I understand what point you were trying to make, and I think everyone did.

However, it was distasteful and inappropriate given the circumstances. Regardless of the validity or invalidity of what you have said, there is no denying that your comments have made a lot of people angry... and they have reason to be... and you know why. This creates a reaction where it becomes you against everyone else, throwing mud at each other. It does not even matter who is wrong or right, what matters is that the effect of your commentary is the stirring of unneeded trouble.

If you want to make political or social commentary, don't do it in a memorial thread.

It's no different from going to a Pearl Harbor ceremony and yelling "Hey! The Japanese lost men too you elitest pigs!"
