You know when your mom says you are the most handsome guy in the world, that isn't true either. Only the band's parents come to see the band play, and no one else really cares.

You my friend are... WRONG, trust me when your first in TOB and the first time to ever be in the lead in ALL of TOB, they come to see the BAND and not the crapball team.

Same here. In HS, we had a whole cheering section for the band. our HS loved us.

If people think that crowds usually come to watch football games, but this really only goes with highschool and small colleges, you're wrong. Sure, you have lots of people that go to the teams school, but it's more of a social gathering. Relatives are the only people that come to watch a football game, and it's usually about the same with band.

but when I was in HS, when the cadance started up and we marched onto the field at half-time, almost everyone on our side's bleechers either stood up and clapped and cheered or just clapped and cheered. then when we started to play, they all got silent, except right after the drum solo when they cheered, and we started up playing again (that's when we do our most complex marching, during the drum solo, b/c the only people playing are the drum battery and pit). People knew we were good and had a SHOW to put on, and they paid attention and let themselves be entertained.

but yeah, for serious....this year my bands show is friggin awsome....we get a standing ovation (sp?) everytime we play. home or away.

...and that is what I LOVE about Michigan High School Football, sure my school may have an amazing band, but people here actually care about the game.

You could say I live in the town straight out of Varsity Blues, it is a religion here. Its in mutual consensus that the MHSAA Football Program is one of the best in the Nation. Football the way it was meant to be played!

But, I give MAD props to all band members, we have an amazing band who is currently performing "Stairway to Heaven" at half time and at pep assamblies. There is a guitar solo at the begining, that is played by the guitarist in my band(he is amazing) and it ends with a trombone(sp?) solo of the samr caliber of act. I love you guys, and after a rough game, I've had some, and excuse my term here, Bandos' shoulders to cry on, haha .
