I used to wonder why NY and Boston always had problems. Now I know. It's because people ON BOTH SIDES can't let it go. I'm a diehard Yankees fan, and have been since I was a kid watching on Ch. 11 out of NY (this was years before digital tuners, to give you a hint as to how long ago that was). Did I rub it in at work that the Yankees are up 2-1? I'm almost outnumbered 3-1 there, so I'd have been able to get in a lot of boasting. But I acted like an adult, and I know that 1: The series isn't over 2: It's just a game and 3: I'm more mature than that.
Now I will admit, that to my eyes it did look like Pedro intentionally hit Garcia. But I don't know for absolute certainty about that. As far as Clemens pitch to Manny, I thought Manny over-reacted. Was it something that required the dugouts to clear? Absolutely not. Now, onto Pedro versus Don Zimmer. Should Pedro defend himself if someone takes a swing at him? It depends on how he does it. While rough, it isn't like Pedro threw Zimmer a right cross (although it'd have been better to walk away from Zimmer before he got to Pedro). Finally, that groundskeeper should be fired for assaulting a player (regardless of the team that player is on).
For those of you who are having trouble following my disjointed ramblings, I'll sum it up: Grow up, settle down, and enjoy the post-season play, because it only comes around once a year.
