1Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - TygerComment

No I'm not "mental", the way you're talking though about draggin him out into the street and beating him makes me wonder about you though, but that's another case for another day. All Cubs fans should be more mad at Alex Gonzalez then this fan. The fan paid to go in to see the game, Alex Gonzalez is a player whose paid millions to play it. He needs to do his job, when it matters most, and come up with that play. Prior needed to throw a better pitch after the foul ball incident. Baker needed to yank Prior sooner. All more valid reasons to point at then the fan because the fan is not the one out there playing. All this stuff Cubs fans are doing should make them ashamed. Here I'm thinking they have the best fans in the world because they support their team even when they're terrible, now you want to skin this man alive because you "think" he cost you the series. I'd expect this from fans from New York, but not Chicago.Originally posted by kevinkills99
nothing wrong? Are you mental?
He is allowed to catch that ball, because technically it is in the stands, and he didn't reach into play to catch it. BUT, he is a cubs fan, and if he had any ounce of intelligence, he would've let Moises Alou catch the friken ball. Don't give me that "if I was there I would've caught it" crap. If you tried to catch that ball, and saw Moises going after it, you should be dragged into the streets and beaten
Sorry, but no real Cubs fan would try to rob a fielder of an out, intentionally or unintentionally.
Alou has a right to be mad, I'd be mad too. He had the chance to make an out, but was "robbed." I don't remember watching press conferences, so I don't know what any Cubs player said.
Sox just won. Cubs are down 3-0
Oh and about the whole don't give he didn't see Alou coming, have you ever played baseball before? Because if you had, you'd know if you even take your eye off the ball for a second, it's very easy to lose your sight on it. That's why the fan had his eye on the ball the whole time, not Alou. And like it has been said, if he hadn't done some other fan would've.Silver ULE X Valved Mag

I fully understand. I too was disapointed realy. I was pulling for them. I think most of America, no matter what team they pulled for all season, was pulling for the Cubs at that point. I think a lot of them were interested in a Cubs Sox match up for something a little more interesting than what teams we have seen lately. Even though I am not a Cubs fan I was fully pulling for them at that point. We didn't get either one of those it seems.Originally posted by kevinkills99
Sorry Phil, I'm just angry at their loss. Maybe next year.
Hey, I am a Braves fan. We getting used to being good all year and then not when it counts the most. But once they had ousted the Braves I got behind them. I thought they had a chance. But alas the lack of depth caught up with them. They needed to finish it off early for the make up of their team to win it. And it looked like they would early on in the series. The Marlins ability to push it longer and survive was the downfall. So I can see why there is the sentiment that this fan issue could have caused its partial undoing. Because by that time it was shakey at best. They need to build some bullpen. They got a better chance next year if they can do that. I'd like to see them do that.Comment

I have been playing baseball almost my entire life, including high school and college. If you read my posts, you would know my true feelings. True, this man effected the game, but his actions would've been void if Alex would've caught that grounder. I'm more pissed at Alex than anything. I don't consider him (bartman) a scapegoa. They also need to get some bats in the order. They weren't hitting to well in those last 3 games. I think they will do well next year.Originally posted by cphilip

Yeah them dang Braves. They don't have that spark like a few of the past Brave teams had. Our downfall is we get to the postseason and are players just go kaput. Just no spark left almost. I saw a funny quote in the AJC yesterday that said, "The Red Sox have the Bambino curse, the Cubs have the Billy Goat, what do the Braves have?"Originally posted by cphilip
