omg, yall are titled to yalls own opions, but am i the only sane 1!!!! that movie was great. it told the truth, and how america really is. did u see that interview w/ the gun show guy, he was an *EDIT* wipe man! and do yall not think guns are over running america! think, if america had like 1/2 as many guns, i bet so many less people would die. dont ne of yall think that it is literally sad of how those people are. when he talked to that guy about the dead 6 yr. old, and the guy didnt give a flying *EDIT* that made my heart really hurt, emotianally, i would like to hear some 1's opinion that DOESN'T have a gun!

irs, I respect your opinion as much as I can that of a 13yo in this day & age..but just to point a couple things out..

A. You really don't know what you're talking about. Nothing wrong w/ that, because you're only 13. With age comes wisdom my friend. :) Something you need to learn, is don't accept everything you see at face value. IE, BfC..if that movie were any more distorted, it's be nothing but that scrambly crap you see when cable goes out.

B. The old adage "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" stands true today. Think about it, if a criminal is going to go and rob someone, assault someone, rape someone, or kill someone, does it make sense for them to give a flyin' hoot about (those damned) gun control laws? If they want a gun, they're going to get one regardless of what the government says.

That whole post is realy stupid. Guns have no purpose other than killing, so why are all you american so attached to your pressious guns. Your comment on the murder rate in the us is exactly why he made the movie. In fact lots of your comments seem to be agreeing with what michle moore is saying. I agree that the movie is VERY one sided,and his charston heston(sp) inverview was realy unfair. That man hates america plain and simple, or atleast everything about the way it is today. But over all it does bring up lots of good points. That import racer comment is a stupid comment to. you can't compare guns to hondas.

first off, our 2nd amendment guarantees our right to own firearms. Last thing we want is the king of England coming into our houses and pushing us around.

OK let's take these points one at a time.

Really? I am a member of a local gun club where I run the sporting clays course. Last time I checked no one was killed there. So there's at least ONE purpose other than killing.

On the face of it, a lot of people think exactly the way you do. They are of course, completely wrong.

Guns serve numerous purposes. Hunting, sports shooting, self defense of family and property to name a few. Of course, your socialistic tendencies in your country do not allow the people to make their own decisions and instead allow the government to decide who's allowed to own private property and who isn't.

Second, Why are you Americans all attached to your precious guns?

Freedom my friend, pure and simple freedom. Our Constitution was written by some of the most far thinking and brilliant men in history. They knew from long experience that to disarm a people is the fastest way to tyranny by a ruling body. There's an old saying regarding our Second Amendment: First among equals. Without that Second Amendment, there ARE no other freedoms. take that away and there is NO recourse for a government that decides to step on the freedoms of it's people.

The middle points are fairly valid, Moore rarely gives a fair sided interview to Conservatives, he certainly didn't with Charleton Heston. And why should he? He has an agenda, and sometimes he admits that. Generally though, you have to be sure you put him in context. He hates America, especially Corporate America and what HE thinks it stands for. Not for what it really stands for but what HE thinks it stands for.

Now as to your last point on the comparison of firearms and cars as killing instruments.

You're kidding right? Want to take a guess as to how many people are killed in this country on the roads every year? Want to compare it to so called gun deaths? Gun deaths that invariably include such stats as homocides by gang members, gun deaths committed in the acts of robbery or car jackings? The gun control lobby wants to get rid of all private firearm ownership in this country. Their big rallying cry is that too many kids are getting killed. Now the anti gun lobby would have you belive that a child is anyone under the age of 21. What nonsense. Last I checked, legal age in this country was 18. But even IF we give them benefit of the doubt and say 21, car deaths in auto accidents FAR outnumber gun deaths by ANY means in this country.

So I ask anyone who wants to get rid of guns for the reason that they(and not the people using them illegally or just plain stupidly) kill too many people, why then don't we get rid of automobiles??
