Did any of you guys catch that the big machine face thing was listed as "Deus ex Machina" in the credits? Now that's comedy.

about the love story, it was needed. In the second film the architect tells Noe that the one is suppost to find a connection with humans, but Noe's love went beyond the simple connection of friends.

He gave up the assured survival of humanity for her...screw the race if i cant have this woman.

that was something the machines had never taken in to account, they cant see past a choice they dont understand. thats what brought about that particular set of options for the futhure. If he had gone back to the source he would have picked children from the matrix, like the elders of zion probably were picked by the first one...and eventually smith would have killed Neo ending smiths cycle. at least thats myt read on it...
it was all designed to be a cycle that kept repeating, but Neo had to go and fall in love and ruin it.

I wounder if the Orical had told trinity she would fall in love with Kid or someone else how the stroy would have went. (remember when she tells Neo about the vase, she is very slick in manipulating people...)

Basically the ending the way I see it when the architect says "What do you think I am, human?"

Basically the machines know that the humans will eventually start the war again anyhow and its only a matter of time.


I kind of saw the end of neo as his code being reinserted into the matrix again but whatever. The movie was just a great piece of eye candy. I didn't enjoy it to the end of this "trilogy"... From the shortcomings of reloaded I expected more of a closure to the film.


If you think about it, the machines got what they wanted and things started over again, Zion is not destroyed, there are some left to rebuild, the matrix is restarted and they know that the humans wont remain peaceful for ever.


Bah whatever to me there isn't much to think about. They took the easiest way out of the trilogy as humanly possible.

Jesus Christ. I guess I'm the only one in the world who thought this movie was completely bad ***. You guys are all dissapointed because the movie didn't end the way you wanted it to . I'm satisfied with the way it was, just like I was with Reloaded.

Hey there buddy, the movie was cool visually. It just had no depth. It was 2 hours of awesome visual effects and thats it

And that's the dumbest thing about the entire Matrix story line. I find it imposible to enjoy the story as I can't overcome the impossibility of the main premise.

The machines need humans for the millivolts we produce. They need to replace the sunlight that humans blocked out.

What, they're intelligent enough to plug in humans but too stupid to use wind power?!?

The machines are too stupid to find sources of energy but the humans manage to run Zion, fly their ships, and create EMP pulses?

Just too dumb a leap of faith for me. It disappointing really because there have been so many good sci-fi scenarios that had man enslaved to machine.

Just reading through the posts here, and I took the ending a different wey. Well, the fight with neo and smith at least. I thought the machines destroyed Smith. Neo tried, but he finally figured it out. He was plugged right into the machine core. When smith 'copied over' Neo, the machine could take out smith. That's the impression I got. I dont know what happened with Neo. That's just what I thought, because when Neo sort of, blew up, the machine he was plugged into pumped him full of energy. I dont know. I'd like to see it again.


I get what some people are saying about it being dumb too. I mean, why didn't the machines just use cows or something? That's why it's a movie.

haha, i said,"Go Dragon ball z" in the theater, too. It was definently the weakest of all the three story lines. I loved making fun of things my friends and i thought would be cheesy in the movie, only to find those things really happen 5 minutes later. But that scene where neo punches smith(you know, the real slow one) was just hilarious.

as for the end all they did was upgrade to Norton Anti-Virus 2.0

but seriously. i think the most powerfull smith was the leader, so after the oracle smith took neo neo became the most powerfull/leader. cause he was hooked into the macien mainframe and he wasnt a program, he was just deleted or flush. And of course the if the leader dies the rest do too theory aplies and all is well and little indian children can continue to make the sun rise in a fake world. wait im confused now.........

I'm dissapointed because anyone could have thought of this ending. Several times I read guesses that were pretty darn close.

I wanted something as WOW as the rest of the movies.

Here's a question I've got. How much ammo do those boxes actually hold? Those APU's were firing continuously for what, 20 minutes? That's a lot of ammo.

Those APU's are bad ***. What they need is some kind of front shielding. I was like damn, where is the rest of it when they got in.
