Good topic. I'm in the same boat as you (sort of). I have a year and a half left (hopefully). I'm getting a dual major, in Electrical, and computer systems engineering. It's either grad school, or a job. I don't want to go to work every day, so right now it looks like grad school. I'll probably just go here for grad school, so I can still live in the frat. I'd also like to hear some words of wisdom.

Lifes decisions are not easy I had to make mine at 17. I will not go into what they were because no one will care. I will say make the decision based on whats important to you and you wil never regret the decision you make. The hardest thing is to know whats important to you.

Become a colleg professor. Your temprament and condescension will serve you best there.
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

I'd start applying here as soon as possible. Don't tell anyone you interview with that you are planning grad school "in a couple of years". Why would someone train you if you were going to jump ship in a year or two?

They say people get more out of graduate school after a couple of years in the work force. If you can't find the job you want after a year (working at other jobs to pay the bills mind you) then you can apply to graduate schools.

              Talk about an oxymoron!

I say get your graduate degree NOW! It is tough to go back once you are out. I am still trying to go back for my masters degree. Once you leave college, real life begins. It moves fast and doesn't follow a script. So if you want a graduate degree remember this, He who hesitates is lost.

Please keep comments about my person to yourself. The question is what do you feel about your choice and how did you come to your conclusion.

Working on my masters now... I hate school. So sick of it, but I know if I stop it will be hard to go back. School has been the lifelong obstacle in my education... can't wait until it gets out of the way and I can spend my time on more important things.

Which is exactly what he did. (Frankly, I agree w/ him) He doesn't have to get long winded to state his point, and I think you know what that is.

Regardless of all that, if you're gonna get the master's, do it now.

P.S. For the safety of us all, pleae don't go into intelligence!! hehehe

1de, how do you like the banking industry. One of the more interesting ideas I come across in my economic studies is banking, especially the international banking part.

by the fact that you are posting, opens you up to that no matter what the topic of the thread is.

anyway, i do agree with aaron_mag that people tend to get more out of graduate school if you have a couple of years of work experience. on the other hand,i am now going back to school full time to finish my bachelors after some time off. it is a lot harder than i remember it being and harder to manage with all the other things going on in my life. so the longer you wait, the more likely you will be tied down to more responsibilities then adding on school. with the current economic situation there are alot of people with masters degree without jobs, hopefully by the time you get out of graduate school (if you go immediately after) you will have that on your resume and have an advantage in the job market.

Your opinion on my person is not needed in this type of discussion. As I said I am asking for why you made your choice and do you like it. Your opinion of what you think I am, is about as helpful as your opinion of the sky right now. No one knows me, and can only tell what I am by a few posts on line, so all it does to post your views of me, is to try and push this thread further and further away from the topic, and another vial attempt to talk bad about me.
