There is no rule that says, if you suck at your job someone under you who is better should take your spot. You basically have to piss people off really bad enough times or do something illegal to get canned in those positions. And these fools usually spend a lot of time getting other people to do work for them, complain about how much work they do and how busy they are... spend a lot of time making it known that they have power over you... and don't you forget it! And, counter-productivity is a popular hobby.

Working hard and being good at what you do can be helpful in the long run, eventually you may get what you deserve... but not always good to let that be known. The doofs in management as well as co-workers will A: Find you to be a threat. B: Use you. C: Criticize what you do. D: Take credit in what you do. E: Try to make life miserable for you.

How much thermite it takes to cut a new car in half... like your boss's new convertible... has been a long time question of mine.

When I started school, CS grads had one of the highest average starting salaries. Now I have to wonder if Culinary Arts was the way to go. Maybe get that lawn care business up and running. Reminds me of Office Space.

Try to combine computers and fast food:

Ok Ma'am. That's one large burger, a hot dog, and a chocolate milk.

Would you like windows with that?
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. So how much does it take to cut an Acura MDX in half?

you need to keep in perspective that usually your first "real" job isn't going to be your dream job, or a job you majored in. so, the liklihood of dealing with some poop/crap/tard/etc. work is possible for you as a stepping stone to get to where you want to be.

also, consider this. Around here, a good marine diesel mechanic charges(and gets) 150 per hour from the time they start their truck...drive to you...fix your boat...and return home. An average days' pay is close to 1000 bucks. Maybe a career change is in order for some of you guys...

                    Wow, that is awesome.

Around here the highest a construction worker will ever receive is around 27,000 a year or so. A mechanic will lose business if he charges over 50 an hour.

I wonder how much it cost to live up there, for down here you can get a nice house for around 400 a month in payments with decent credit.

Touche CB!!!! Here is the dirty secret about jobs. Most of them are JOBS! Not "enlightening careers". You do them to fill the trough with food. If you go to the trough and there is no food in it you jump ship and look for other work.

I travel around appraising multi million dollar properties. People often comment at how interesting that must be. Let me say that after a couple of years it really isn't that interesting. It becomes routine like most jobs. Oh yes there are day to day challenges but if someone handed me millions of dollars tomorrow I'd probably choose to pursue other challenges. So my point is when finding a career there are two choices. One is for money and the other is for lifestyle. When Albinonewt mentions being a college professor he is saying "hey! Look over at this lifestyle. It ain't half bad."

I agree the life of a college professor is very good. Teach for 6 hours a week, research for the rest, it is a great life. It is something that I plan on pursuing when I do other stuff with my life.

But my problem with ABN post was his making me out to be something I am not. He doesn't know me, yet he constantly throws in his opinion of who I am and who I am not. He might take a guess at what I might post next, but that doesn't mean knowing someone. I constantly bring up the double standards on this board, so if the situation presents itself, you can bet I will post on it. Does that mean you know me, no.

I could care less if you have a problem with my post. Probably, so maybe my assessment could would change after more exposure to you (more likely I'd kill myself from your incessent crying). It's an opinion, take it of leave it, I could care less.

I didn't ask your opinion of what I should do, I asked why you chose what you did, and if you liked your choice.

So please stop this act, and either follow the guidelines or don't post at all.

You don't see me posting a thread giving you my opinion of your person, so please show the same respect.
