I know families with 2 minivans... not only are they old, there is no testosterone left in the household.

I suppose that means I need to start crossing half the "next possible" cars off my list. I have come to the point in life that my Porsche is in the garage when I want a cool car, other than that its time to have function. I have owned - '75 Convertible Corvette, Explorer, Suburban, Tauruses, Blazers, and Pickups.
My next vehicle is strongly leaning towards a Pacifica type thing (when someone makes on other than Chrysler, I would like the transmission to last at least a little while), A Volvo cross country, a Subaru WRX (the more Subarus I work on the less I like this thing), or a minivan (though having seen enough Ford minivans I know it won't have Ford logos on it). I have already crossed off a Powerstroke diesel pickup or Excursion off the list as overkill for what I need (and I am not buying any small diesel other than Ford - PS I don't really like Ford even). Ok... so Im basically down to a Volvo or a minivan... crap I'm old too - though I am doing it for the function of being able to haul paintball gear... does that count for anything?
My opinion of SUVs is they do not get along well with me - managed to total a Suburban, total an S-10 blazer in a roll, and got lucky with the Explorer when it spun two three sixties under a stoplight at a corner. So I can't drive either...

It's horrible, driving around with your friends who can't drive in a maroon minivan, 'cause your parents like the vans. Well I might be able to buy a car later this year though, if I don't purposely crash one of the vans.

if it beeps when you put it in reverse then that is considered "old", otherwise unless the doors slide its a pseudo soccer mom mobile.

Actually it has the reverse radar, so it does beep on the inside!

I hate those reverse beeper things that beep more the closer you get. I hate them to death, and death again. I want them to die. Oh, a fun thing to do is put a piece of tape over the sensor so when someone puts there car in reverse it just beeps to no end

I think I am a bit too old for the bling bling. Especially with the carseats you know?

Don't diss the rear sensors, they are probably the only reason I passed the parking section of my road test.
