Now, I LOVE this band. This is REAL punk rock, not that sissy stuff you see on MTV, I wanna know if there are any other hardcore fans out there. For all you people that have never heard of them check out these songs:

Sex Pistols are definitly great punk rock. Check out Rise Against they are some great punk rock

For well crafted (if you can describe it that way??) look for the 1st Adam and the Ants record (it will be a record as it was on a minor label) the Album title is Dirk Wears White Sox. Several very political incorrect songs in there and well before all the silly psuedo Red Indian look.
The Sex Pistols were not the force they are now made out to be, Dead Kennedys, Souxie and the Banshees and early Clash are all a good listen if you are into that kind of thing.

Nothing can top Black Flag and Minor Threat though. No doubt two of the greatest true-punk rock bands out there along with the U.S. Bombs.

The Whole '77 and early '80's revolution is what its all about, play until you literally pass out on stage, standing there on the edge of the stage practically in the mosh, fans everywhere, some guy runs outta the club on fire for no apparent reason, the only reason some one in the croud is still standing is by the support of the rest of the people, the entire mob pulsating to the beat of the music, ah god, how could you not love that.

I like the sex pistols, their an awsome band, I also think antiflag and rancid are great bands, but is anybody starting to see this forum slowly starting to fold with posts about "punk rock". It's kinda starting to piss me off, I realy hate when people start talking about what punk is real or not. If it's good music, that's all that matters to me, you don't need to have clics in music too.

I really love the older punk. Face it, those were the punk bands. One of my favorite from back then is Social Distortion. You can't forget the times when it wasn't every band's main goal in life to change thier sound into an MTV friendly sound and make as much money as possible. Or that many of those bands managed to tour for a third of the year and still get out at least one album a year.
As fot the Sex Pistols, yeah they are great, but the got old for me after about 4 months. I still like them, but they just didn't hold the same allure that say the Dead Kennedys do.
Music these days just get on my nerves.
