They get those cars from people like me See, I did it for the good of others to show them what not to do. 110 when someone is draining there damn pool onto the street is a bad thing
And if they put cars like that around my school, you can bet I would be running out there with my tools pulling all the good parts
Notice in the 2nd pic to the left of the driver fender above the tire that rounded part that was a strut tower, thats where the poll stopped, about 8in short of the firewall.

you can sue the pool owners and say they were a certain percentage of why you crashed. thought 110 would have more liability on your side you can probaly still recover some damages.

I wasn't too concered about it, I already got rear-ended, notice the dent in the back drivers side was already there. They totaled it and gave me 2x what I paid for the car. So it was only worth about $1000 tops, and they would say it was already totatled and give me nothing for it, must have been a mistake down at the DMV that I could still legally drive it. And if I mentioned 110, I would get a ticket for probably $300, and lost my license untill I was 21. I knew a couple of the cops and almost all the fire guys who were there so I told them I was doing the speed limit and they just let it go at that, even though thats obviously more than 40mph worth of damage (impact probably 80-90). Didn't even file an accident report, so my insurance co has no idea about it.

They used to park cars like that in our school parking lot, right where you pull in, in the middle of the road. I almost hit one one day. I think someone else did hit it eventually. Now they put them on the grass.

Yes, i'm an idiot for going that fast. As far as it being a populated area, this was where all the rich people live, so houses are about 200ft back from the road, and ive never seen someone walking on that street. The road doesn't see too much traffic, and this was around 3am.
After that I got myself a grand cherokee, but decided I missed my camaro. So I got another one, same year for the same price, ive done a fair deal of work to it, and its pretty nice now. I still want to get a 400hp motor in it though, not that I would use it much.

And I walked away just fine. A year earlier someone died hitting the same poll, not nearly as fast though. They got stuck in the car and somthing caught fire
