Its actually pretty close, the differences between most are going to be slight.
Also, they don't all do the same job. The reason the US has different special forces groups is because they do different jobs.
Army Rangers shouldn't be up there, they aren't true special forces.
I voted for the SAS just because they have more practical experience than our guys. Fighting against the IRA for so long gives them more practical experience to draw from, although our guys are probably getting better with the action in afghanistan and the middle east.
You will never get people to agree, though. Most people will prolly vote for the SEALs just because they have the most mystique and fame around them.

I voted for the Mossad, I've heard some pretty cool operations that they've done.Comment

I put the Rangers up there because many would consider them to be the finest light infantry unit.
And Thordic the SBS is actually handpicked SAS members that are on the highest level of training in the British military.

The best ones are the ones you dont know about.
Of the list offered I would nominate the SAS and prolly Delta as the most "experienced and deadly".
Frankly all of these are hella deadly but few can operate under the radar of public opinion and politics as the ones you know little or nothing about.
and personally the whole concept of Delta guys showing up in nondescript civilian clothes with orders to "use" whatever airframe/asset your squadron maintains daily leads me to beleive they are the ultimate badarses of them all.

Yeah, I actually know that, I just don't like their initialsOriginally posted by Johnny_Reb

Mossad probably aren't the most talented, but they are the most viscous and dangerous. If the Mossad wants you dead, you are going to be dead, one way or another. Isreali's are nasty people to mess with.

The Mossad really arn't special forces, they are more similar to the CIA. And if I had to be scared of any, it would be the Mossad I'd be most afraid of. Come-on, a bomb in a cell phone that blows your brains out your other ear when they call you? Thats sheer genious.

i voted Delta Force but i think its between Delta Force, SAS because delta was modeled after them slightly, and the SEALS because they have seal team 6

Like it was stated before each of these teams operate in diffrent ways for diffrent reasons... its apples to oranges... and in fact you missed alot that do fall under the term special forces. in fact i can think of 4 you missed from the US navy alone... Diver, EOD, SWCC, and UCT all fall under the special forces/special operations. If i was to vote i would write in UCT but thats only cause thats the stuff i have been trying to get into since i joined"AHHH The Good Life...
