AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I want him to be put through prison and work and have a sucky life as much as the next guy, but prison is not free. Someone has to pay for it, and that would be us.

By the time his appeals are done, his death sentence will cost the courts more then him being in a work system where he pays some back.
I must be getting callous. When I heard the news on John Allen, I cheered. I've now cheered twice in the last few months for someone getting killed or getting told that they are going to. hmmm.... The other one was John Geoghan btw

He has not yet been sentenced, but the jury has recommended the death penalty. Sentencing will take place in February.
Having the death sentence reduced to LIP by a judge is rare.

I think you misunderstood me, as I said nothing about having a sentenced reduced. :) He has not been sentenced. Juries do not sentence the ones they convict, but they can recommend a punishment to the judge, which is what they have done.
Squid started the whole thing off wrong by incorrectly stating the subject. It should have been, "Jury recommends death sentence for Muhammed" or something to that effect.

Actually, it'd be interesting to see some numbers on that... *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge* :)
Collegeboy is right... the cost is way too high. The ideal resolution to this is to go chinise style.... take the dillweed out back of the court house shoot em and then send the family the corpse and a bill for the bullet. Done deal.
personally i think shooting is too honorable for the traitorous slime...
take him upstairs, tie a noose around his neck, throw him out the window, then send the family the bill for the rope, or save it for that kid who helped him... 2 for 1!
