i put a post up in a similar thread but i cant find it now. my suggestion was to allow only those who supported AO with x amount of money to have the ability to post pics in threads, and pics in sigs. since pics take up so much more bandwitdth it seems reasonable to me to allow them only if you pay your way for them. now the x amount doesnt need to be outragous, but enough to show commitment.

Yeah, I think that this whole, "Can't post attachments thing" is an experiment to see how much bandwidth it saves. I really don't mind though, because people like joey d are generous enough to offer uploading services. But I think the idea about having a special icon for donating, or a t-shirt would be cool. Maybe, have different levels of icons or t-shirts? Maybe then Pyro could become the, "Donating Whore". I can see it now....

"Well, I donated 5000 dollars, so I'm the official donating whore! Yeah!!".

Nope. Thats not it at all. Its Delaware not getting off their arses and getting it fixed. The problem is with our ISP not us. And Tom, last I talked to him over the AO event weekend, did not seem to know about it. And he was NOT happy to find it out either. And soon as he gets caught up he will most likely be spankin someone over it. He noticed the hits count down was what brought it up. I had no idea he had not been told either. And he doesn't like it. He wants people coming over and seeing pictures. He wants pictures hosted here.

I'm all for donating but I don't like the whole thing with people getting special stuff for donating because some of us seriously can't donate. I am a 13 y/o with no job and I have a very limited amount of money and whenever I get a reasonable amount it is for pball. So, I thin kwe should have the donating thing but no special priviledges should be involved.

AGD is a company. This site is making them money directly or indirectly. It will be shut down as soon as it's cost is no longer justified.

AGD is a SMALL company, and although they benifit from AO, it would be nice to show our appreciation, and maybe lift some of the costs of maintaining AO. I would never donate to microsoft, because they are a multi billion and probally trillion dollar company. AGD isnt that big.
