I'll get maybe $100 worth of gifts. I'd be happy with nothing. My family has largely grown up, my brother, father, and sister all live in different cities, my mom and stepdad in florida. My sister is getting married soon, and I can probably count the Christmases my dad has left on one hand (wow, that just really hit me for the first time...bad thing to think about).
Christmas to me now is about seeing everyone together. Its the only thing I'm looking forward to this year.Comment

it depends on what they get me. Usually I bet they spend around $100 total on me on gifts at Christmas, but that's b/c I no longer want toys, I want real stuff, and those kinds of things cost good $$ when getting quality goods.
They spend alot on me anyway, though, since they're paying my college tuition and room & board and book costs, AND my travel costs (plane tickets, hotel reservations when flying home, etc.). That in itself makes me not sure how much they'll spend on me for Christmas, and frankly I don't care. Christmas is no longer about GETTING things for me, though recieving IS alot of fun. I've found in recent years that what excites ME about Christmas is giving to OTHERS and seeing the joy on THEIR face when they see that I got them something nice just because I wanted to b/c I was thinking of them. That's the real reward
