We supposedly quit getting gifts for Xmas - my parents took my wife, kids, and I to DisneyWorld (or whichever is in Florida) this year and will take my sister and her family to Colorado for sking - of course now there asking what we want for Xmas. I think the trips were a great idea, it gives everyone some time together outside of the holidays.

I have the curse of step siblings. Living with four other children, I get less 'me' presents, and more 'us' presents. Mostly sports things, like badmitton and trampolines. Usually $100 in the stuff. Both families of the 'step' siblings, though, differ greatly in income. With my mother, I usually get the $150-175 present amount. BUT my step siblings get about $500-$700 on THEIR side.
One day, for absolutely no reason at all, they [step siblings] both came home with large and homey scooters. And I took one and crashed it in the dirt. Lovely scars now reside on my skin.

All because of some rich grandma.
