I hear that wyn, I read the two towers after i saw the movie and there were a lot things they changed that woulda made the movie even better.

Also, just to clear something up I know how return of the king ends, this thread isn't about the plot, but if the movie can pull it off and kick ***, or be another terminator 3.

It's called adaptation. I love the books, have read them 4 times, but film is a completely different medium.

Predictions?

Samwise gets caught mumbling by Frodo, when pressed for what he said, Samwise shouts loudly, "I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU MR. FRODO!"

Frodo suddenly remembers all the instances of Samwise longly gazing into Frodo's oversized eyes.

In a fit of pique, Gollum kills Samwise screaming "HE'S MINE! HE'S MY PRECIOUS!"

You all thought Gollum was calling the Ring his Precious didn't you.

Ehhhhh wrong, look at the earlier films, Gollum is seen repeatedly stealing glances at Frodos feet.

The Elves return to Zion only to find that the Dwarves have mined it out completely, and are now figuring out how to make money from stolen underpants.

Agent Smith/Elrond's only lines in the movie(and I've been waiting for this bit of movie writing history) Your kind are a disease Mr. Bilbo Baggins, you infest this place. I feel saturated by your incredible foot odor. I must wipe you out, so I can escape this place.

well i got tickets to midnight teusday and im set. the end of the book isnt in the movie i dont think. i think it ends with them parting ways cause the scouering of the shire is a LONG part. but jackson is a freakin genius and tolkien is a god among literary aurthors. nothing can change that. AND FOR GOD SAKES READ THE FREAKIN BOOKS ITS NOT THAT HARD YA OPEN THE THING AND LOOK AT THE WORDS!!!!!!!

I'm still mad about TT where they absolutely RUINED Faramir, and I wasn't too happy with Eomer and Eowyn either. I also hated the lame comedy they put in regarding dwarves... and the "shield slide" down the stairs by Legolas was just... lame...

Regardless of how this one turns out, I think Peter Jackson deserves an Oscar for it... I think Fellowship was awesome.. and he was robbed that year.

I'll probably see it wednesday, i'm not uber-excited to see it tomorrow at midnight right now.

Well, in all honestly, I am sure the battle seen will be extravagant with lots of blood.. muhahahah..

I havent' read the book, but I am predicting the end (No spoilers here):

1st. Frodo falls in love with Smeegal and they live happily ever after with "Precious."

2nd. Sam is confused with the entire ordeal and throws himself into Mount Doom.

3rd. Legalos breaks all the hearts of the women that are watching the movie and pronounces he is really a woman himself (or herself).

4th. Aragorn gets Liz and the other white chick. They have together. "Hey, it's good to be the king."

5th. Alot of people/things die.

6th. Gandalf rides around on his white horse "Miracle" and shines bright lights into everyones eyes. (lets see if anyone catches the Mel Brooks joke in this one)

Well, that is all I am going to predict for now. I don't want to give stuff away. ha!

i just got home from it. i had to leave two hours into the movie though because the projector broke and they couldnt fix it. from what i saw though it was a shaping up to be a very good final hour.
