    Malvo gets life in prison

Well, the verdict just came out: life in prison without paroll for Lee Boyd Malvo, the other suspect in the DC area sniper shootings last fall.

I for one have learned that I'd better go out and take care of my murders now, while I'm still 17, to make sure I get the lighter sentence.

it's only lighter compared to the death penalty. how'd you like to be locked up for the rest of your natural life in prison when you're 17? The only thing WORSE than this sentence is death itself.

Lighter sentence, HAH! He'll rot in prison from now on.

It's cheaper than execution. Plus Malvo will have to spend the rest of his life in with the regular prison population. He will wish he was executed.

Actually Virginia would be the ones paying to house him! It was a state trial, not a federal one! So we don't have to pay 1 red cent to maintain that piece of garbage!

Or he ends up tossing salads for the rest of his life!

Meh, so I will... err, well, my parents willl...

And Maryland law prohibits execution of minors.

And I sincerely doubt that Alabama or Louisiana are going to take care of him, after the precedent that we just set for ourselves. I mean, come on... we're VIRGINIA for cryin' out loud!!!!!!

don't you think the death penalty is a easy way to go? why not have him suffer in prison for the rest of his life?

Care to tell me how slapping his *** in the chair, or giving him enough drugs to kill an elephant is more expensive than paying how many thousands of dollars a year so he an live *comfortably* in a state prison...

1DE, good point..but he still needs to burn. They people he murdered didn't have the same courtesy, nor should he.

Gitaroo..it's the easy way for some, serial killers/rapists/etc..but he's young and stupid. He most likely fears death more than anything else.
