oooh. If it was water it might have been ok (so long as the power was off when it happend lol!)
Gatorade has electrolites in it that are natural conductors. My Chemistry teacher once wired a pickle (full of electrolytes) to an electrical socket... after smoking and smelling like an electricution it started glowing bright orange!
In conclusion,
electrolites + computer components = disaster
But i bet your warranty will cover it.

Since a laptop HD is a compact design of an IDE device, the pins on them are in a tighter configuration than a regular desktop HD. TO use a laptop HD on a PC, you need a special cable that will allow the LT HD work on a PC. This is how it looks like.Originally posted by sharpshooter1286

Once you get this, your PC will recognize it. Just make sure that windows can read that file system. If your not sure what I'm talking about, Windows has two types of file systems called FAT32 and NTFS. FAT32 can be seen by win9X, win2k, WinMe, WinNT, and WinXP. NTFS can only be seen by win2k, WinNT, and WinXP. I'm not really sure about WinMe, but I would guess that it can. So if your PC is win9X and your laptop is ME/2k/NT/XP, you won't be able to read the laptop HD, provided that it is using NTFS. If the laptop HD is using FAT32, then your PC can read it.Comment
