my name is a nickname given to marines, the germans called marines that during the battle of bella wood (sp?) in ww1. actually they said tuefel hunded which is german for devil dog.

as far as the grass ninja thing, even though im deployed right now, my home base is okinawa japan right now, and i can vouch for the grass ninja name, we really call them that. they wrap towels and blankets around their heads and bodies to keep the sun off of them i assume, but they really look like ninjas.

"dre" is the middle of my real name, Andrew, so that's always been my nickname. That, and I listen to a lot of rap. The "1919" is my favorite number, 19, repeated twice since most websites have "dre" taken. Hence dre1919.

I took Strider for a nickname after reading Lord Of The Rings back in the early nineties. I always joked that it was applicable to Paintball too, since in woods games, I always ended up runnig the furthest to get to where we were going...

In Jr. High the only chew we could steal with any regularity was Rooster. It was cheap and on the bottom rack. Some of my friends could smuggle a log out the door at the local IGA. We were the Rooster kids, then the Roosters, and now I'm the Rooster.
