    Best *legal* music download

Ok. So I'm scared of the RIAA... Or maybe its my concious... Who cares?

Thats just a whole mess of crap that I'd rather not take the chance of having to deal with.

    So, I know there is Napster2.0 (.99/song or 9.95/album)

What else is there? Any less expensive (but still legal ) alternatives?

iTunes is the only other one I know of and its about the same money. Its Apples site. Supposed to be good. I have not bought any from it myself but many people use it.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

i saw something about that the other day on tech tv and they basically said unless your an audiophile (like want non compressed, but you really cant tell the difference unless you are really really into sound apparently) your best bet is to go with iTunes

I just remebered something I heard on a local radio station here...(I forget exactly what it was, but) I heard that Coca cola is doing something like this. Unsure on prices, etc. but I'll research.

edit-eh, Maybe I wahs wrong. Coke has a music site, but it seems to be for new artist trying to break into the mainstream... sux

i was at a buddys house this past weekend and i got to check out itunes from his mac. its pretty neat. with windows though you need an os newer than 98. so i am currently too lame to use itunes. that ipod just sits on the shelf and collects dust now.

I have seen some ads on TV here in Canada for a new music dowenload service called "puretracks". Not sure if it is a .com, or a .ca

It's supposed to be .99 per song. If that's in Cdn$, you'd save about $.20 every time.
