I heard on the radio not too long ago that the Ipod's dont have replaceable batteries... You have to buy a whole new Ipod.

I use ARES now, it is modeled after kazaa but not turning into crap..yet

The problem with that is, the only way to get stuff from Kazaa and programs like it, is to download from someone else's personal archive. If nobody shares (to be within legalities) there are no files to download, defeating the purpose of the program.

Prices based on demand... Sounds interesting, but the price is almost too good to be true (.10/song...) I'll have to let that one develop longer before I mess with it...

That's not true. That urban legend has been spread around here too. There are several posts on it. But... They do have replacable rechargable batteries. Always have. They are about 50 bucks. But they are bigger than original. But they are and have always been available.

You can use bittorrent and go to suprnova.org and download whole albums.

There is also DC++, which is a sharing program where you connect to different sharing hub, but there's usually a min share size you have to have. Basically you usually have to share at least 1GB of files.

Download iTunes from Apple.com and use the Apple Music Store. Only way to go really, IMHO.

the way they catch people is they search for a pular song then pick someone with that song and look at all the other songs that they have. if they find someone with a lot then they fine them.

moral of the story is, use kazaa lite or block uploads and you cant get caught

I tried it... HATE it. Selection sucks compared to napster and musicmatch plus its more expensive.

I think lots of people only use macs because "windows isn't hip"

There's only a matter of time before the riaa or someone finds a way around even that. (the klite version I used was actually run out of business, I cant connect using that program any more and their web site has been taken down)
Also, I've been thinking about the whole moral side of it and for my good conscience, I'm going to pay for what I use. I'm even considering purchasing all the songs I have left over from kazaa eventually.
