If you did something wrong with his girlfriend or whatever then you can possibly deserve whats coming to you. But if that's not the case you should stand and fight like a man. If you get the crapped kicked out of you its not the end of the world.

Just be a man and fight him. If you don't you're most likely gonna get suspended or thrown in AE/ISS anyway. And telling a teacher will just get you beat even worse.

If it's gonna be during school don't use any weapons, but if it's out of/after school, take a bat or some brass knuckles or something.

Face it, if there is ANY CHANCE of a weapon involved or this escalating beyond a "childhood" fist fight it is your responsibility to get teachers, parents, police involved NOW. What if the kid brings a gun, and kills someone else instead of you, to live withotu for your whole life because you did not want to rat on someone... and thats one of the better results for you if it goes that far. Do not bring a weapon, there is no good outcome to bringing a weapon into such a situation - and I say this with some hypocrisy, I legally carry a gun on a regular basis but I assure you it is nto for anything like a school fight.

As for childhood fist fights - ignore the advice most everyone has given you. This whole fighting fair crap is nonsense. Fights are quick, it is unlikely that you will be able to just dodge blows for any amount of time (we used to practice "defense" in Karate, basically it was attempting to dodge and avoid blows with no offense for a set amount of time - it is very hard to do). Do not fight fair - gentlemen do not fight, if you are going to fight do not be a gentelman. Everyone is right to some degree, many years ago to fight was acceptable, it settled disputes rather than letting them fester. Today though, things have gotten out of hand, you will not be happy with any outcome that can come from fighting - be aware of that before you see it.

Last year at my school one kid snuck up behind another and hit him on the ehead with a 3ft long 2x4. It was not pretty. The attacker went to jail and the other kid was rushed to the hospital and was in bad shape for a long time. Some kids don't realise how much damage they can cause, and the consequence of their actions. Its usually the stupid kids who fight, don't be marked as a stupid kid.

Chances are if you to actually do end up in a fight no kids are going to do anything about it, unless they are your friends. And he would just beat on you until people have to physically pull him off.

And that is one of the better scenarios if you two end up going at it.

And I also believe this kid has no reason to be this pissed at you. It is not like you were doing stuff with his girl when they were going out

i agree with everything you said, but teachers take at least a minute to get there even with before notice. plus not any teacher could take him out.

Hmm i have read threw all the posts, and the one thing that i havent heard yet is , why dont u just talk to this kid and try to work it out that way. Maybe he thought that you were messin around with his girl while him and the girl were dating. If talking to him doesnt work, either try to avoid him, travel with your friends, tell a teacher, or fight. My opinion is talk to him, if it dosent work dont fight, tell a teacher. Cause no matter what if u get into a fight even if you didnt start it, the chances are u will get in trouble. School adminstrations normally wont care who started it.
