Getting the school and authorities involved is the safest method of protection. A bully that feels he is totally intimidating and invincible is a dangerous thing. Most of the time they feel protected because they don't think they will get caught. Most will back down if they feel they will get caught and especially if they may have to pay retribution or do time (even if the time is community service or detention).

The best way to deal with a bully is to confront them on your terms. Your terms are best served through the authoities.

Remember, there is no honor in beating someone up or getting beat up. If you are in dire jeapordy of being hurt. Go for the low blow or aim at the adams apple. Then run away. I'd rather be a coward with all my teeth than a winner with a broken nose and all my teeth missing. In the end, no one else will remember the event in the long run, so protect yourself the best way you know how. Just do it legally.

According to his profile, he plays the guitar...I've never known any really youngins (6th graders) that played, and from the sounds of it I think he's in high school. Still, it's hard to say how serious it is. The fact that he hasn't responded is disturbing. On the other hand, maybe he just decided to quit AO and wanted to go out in an amusingly sick way ;P
