aaron, strength can be gained in many ways.

If a small kid has no friends, he will get picked on and most likely beat up by bullies.

If a small kid is friends with the biggest kid in school, no one will mess with him due to the fact that if you do the biggest kid in school with come hunting you down.

Israel is stronger due to their own abilities, and through the alliances they have made. The fact they have US support is PART of their strength, you can't count it seperately. The US may not have won the Revolutionary War without the aid of France, but we were smart enough to forge an alliance and gain that aid, so we DID win.

Lets expand on your analogy (I hate arguments through analogy but I will indulge you).

The big kid is protecting his friend the small kid and gets into some fights. He starts to notice that alot of people don't like him too much because of his friendship to the small kid.

One day he says to the small kid, "Hey. You have been pissing alot of people off and the only reason you can afford to do it is because I protect you."

The small kid responds, "That is the way the world works. The fact I have your support is PART of my strength, they can't count it seperately. You don't like it? Tough. You can't question the way the world works."

Does small kid statement make ANY sense to you? Of course not. Spin it any way you want it. The America has the right to say, "Hey. We don't like the way this is going. If you want to keep being our friend and getting our aid you do things OUR way. And we say....." The ...... is the debate that we the American people are constantly involved in. So in essence we have a RIGHT to voice our opinions. Your argument that "military power forms borders...." holds NO water.

Alot of people support their children after they move out. Help them get on their feet, go to college, etc. Until the child truly severs financial ties the parent they are still dependent. They are not their own person that gets to do whatever they want to do...

Jews and Arabs both came from Abarham, then when Abarham, couldn't concieve a child, he got a mistress, and had one Ishmael, but he later had one with his true wife, named Isaac.

There is where the religions split, Jews believe Ishmael is lower than Isaac.

Post WWII Israel created by the UN, because they essentially felt sorry, about the Holocaust.

1948 Manachem Begin's Irgun, goes and kills some Palestinians. They retailiate, and kill some Jews. First Arab-Isreal war.

between, 1948, and 1980,there were more wars most started by the Arabs, as well as the first intifada. Currently we are in the midst of the 2nd Intifada. Isreal won because of our support.

          1980, Isreal invades Lebanon.
To oust the Syrians from Lebanon, and uproot/destroy the PLO. And why the heck not kill some Palestinians while they were at it. This invasion ended a ten month cease fire.

In around 1993 Oslo accord esssentialy gives the Palestinians a 5 year chance to govern themselves. This fizzles out after Rabin, who is the only reason the Israel citizens agreed to this. Is assinated by a Jewish extremist.

During this time, the PLO, became the PLA, when Arafat was attempting to legitimize himself.

Currently, there have not been two days without violence. And now we have Israel, building a wall. But this also seperates Palestinians from there place of work, and making them even more impoverished. As well as, claiming territories, that aren't even Israel's.

But the fact is both Islamic extremists, and the Israeli government are terrorists, but depending on which side you argue one of them are freedom fighters. And although I do not agree with the way some Arabs are attempting to achieve there goal, I do believe in their cause, or atleast the right to the territories granted to them in Resolution 242.

Wait a sec....don't tell me that Israel is flaunting UN Resolutions. We go after bad people that do that! That is why we went after Saddam for flaunting resolution 1441 and building up a stock pile of weapons of mass destruction.

I say screw them both. Im tired of hearing this and that. Move them both far away from each other so we dont have to hear about it ever again. I said this before, get all the Isrealis ship them to Greenland, get all the Palestinians and ship them to Antartica. That way they can cool off. Thats pretty far apart right? There problem solved and the land in Jerusalem can be a huge tourist attraction called Three Religions Over Isreal.

Think you got the John the Baptist water ride, Star of David Spinning Wheel, and can't forget the Stairway to Allah:)
*Imagine a big flashy creative sig pic that either involves a cartoon, paintball player, some stupid internet movement or symbol with my name creatively tied into it because I'm too lazy to make one and if you don't like it, get over it!*

Aaron, the US is well within its rights to withdraw support from Israel.

                    But it will never happen.
