I'll drink vodka straight, or with only the tiniest splash of cranberry juice.

Good vodka (ie, Grey Goose) doesn't taste like rubbing alcohol. If you are drinking Smirnoff, well, save up a couple extra bucks, and buy decent vodka. Skyy is excellent for the price, or, if you can find a vodka called Fris, its also fairly cheap and good. I'm a huge fan of the flavor of vodka. Lots of people drink it more or less straight (dry vodka martini), and a GOOD vodka & cranberry has only a splash of cranberry.

I don't understand people who drink a tiny splash of alcohol with about 15 ounces worth of mixer. What a waste.

Anyway, I'll give a few of my favorites:

Favorite shot: Wild Turkey / Old Granddad

Favorite beer: Yuengling, Molson Canadian, Newcastle

Favorite mixed drink: vodka & cranberry

Totally agree, Grey Goose is damn good and would be my prefered vodka if it weren't so expensive here($35 a 5th). Would rather just buy a half gallon of sky for that price.

Long Islands...

Stay away from Stroh. That is the most awful stuff ever distilled. A seasoned drinker that I hang out with took one sip and fell to the floor... He was saying that he screwed up the exhale and his nose was burning.
