Well, every car is a bit different. I'm more inclined to aim it toward the dome light and then move it from there, rather than right at the head. I don't pay attention so much to where the tweeter is pointing, as to where the sound stage is... I wouldn't have a use for a laser-pointer. When the vocals are coming from the windshield, it's pointed right. But that's part of the difficult part... you have to go through a lot of sample tracks and come to a compromise.

Have you ever used a laser pointer? It works great. Just line up your tweeters so the laser pointer is straight out the center of the cone and aim it at your headrest.
A very easy way to get a good start on a majority of the imaging done. After that.. it's all fine tuning from there.
