The prices do skyrocket for all flowers around valentines day, especially roses.

like others have said: Vermont Teddy Bear. it may start at $50, but they DO last, and girls absolutely ADORE teddy bears. add a SINGLE red rose, and you'll get a much better reaction than giving her a dozen roses and no teddy bear.

girls do adore teddy bears, especially ones u build urself. its called Build-a-bear. idk if its in ur area, but theres one at the mall in my town. you go in, pick the kinda bear or animal u want (those themselves range from like 14-30 bucks) then u can pick a sound if u want as well. the lady then asks if u want it firm or soft, then uses the machine to stuff it accordingly. she then asks u to catch a a little cloth heart out of this machine that blows them into the air, and then u have to do all this wacky stuff like put it to ur heart so it can love, jump up and down to give it energy, put it to ur head so it can think and stuff like that. this is kinda embarassing, but if the girl sees u doing it its brownie points. then u can pick its clothes out and stuff if u want, and then u need to name it and say who its for or what its for. then u get a birth certificate, a cardboard box that looks like a house for ur bear, and ur bear inside. girls love this especially after u tell them u built it for them.

These aren't just gas station roses that wilt in a few days...

Long stems shipped in from some S.American country, I've had them last 2 weeks before.

I've done the bear thing. She has 2 custom bears. A few random stuffed animals. And a gigantic Gund bear that's bigger than a dresser.

I think I'm past the wooing/deceive part of the relationship (dating over 2.5 years now), now it's more about complacency and peace. If you're reading this Oaf, don't kill me!

Buy her jewelry. Have a romantic dinner with candles and chocolate, you cook the meal. Spend a romantic night in a hotel (i'll let you go with this one). Make the night all about you and her. Write her a poem about how you feel about her.

There are tons of things that you can do that don't cost any money or that is inexpensive.

Any skill with paper and scissors? Paper rose and a poem.
Otherwise finding little folded up love notes all day in everyday places is a nice touch.
