Well besides Restola and myself, can anybody else get high without the use of weed? I couldnt be happier for changing my major to it, and evidently I couldnt be at a better school for it. If anyone was thinking about a career in this, I would highly recommend it
Any other AO Pilots?

Its not required by any airline, but its a good excuse to do what we love.Originally posted by impostal22
flying can be a major?
The airlines want you to have a 4 year degree and all your ratings. A major in flight tech (thats what its called here) gives you a 4 year degree and all your ratings. You could just as easily major in buisness and fly on the side. But for most of us, we couldn't stand the thought of 4 (or more) years for hours a day sitting through power-point lectures with 200 other people.
Instead we take the LERs, and then classes about aircraft, propulsion, hydrolics, and other interesting stuff. All small classes, with students who also love this field. Oh yeah, and you get to fly every day (when you're enrolled in a flight class anyways, which you are most semesters).
Flight is a blast, and there's nothing else like it.

I'm kinda like Gunga...haven't flown in a few years.
I have:
Private SEL
Commercial SEL
Instrument
CFI
CFII
and some multi time (but paying $3/minute wasn't worth it at the time)
I went to school at the University of North Dakota. THE premier flight school in the world. (sorry Restola
)
After graduating, I was a flight instructor for them before deciding that I wanted to take a different career path.
Flying is awesome. I miss it dearly. I do hope to get to a point in my life where I can fly recreationally more often, maybe even own my own plane.Last edited by beam; 02-06-2004, 03:36 PM.

I can legally run engines on a C-130, but I prefer to stay on the ground. I'm sure I could fly it, the whole landing thing would mess me up tho
