On a bike,an "Indicated" 205,which is probably not super accurate.

In a car,230 in a Slingshot(old skool front engine dragster).

      125-130 indicated...

the freeways in Oklahoma are fun, since its a straight line to the horizon with a blur of fields to either side.

I think my car coulda gone faster, by my tires aren't rated for it and were beginning to feel funny.

I made it from Austin Tx, to Kansas City in under 9 hours...

Average speed through OK was over 110... going 70 after that feels like you could get out and walk faster.

if the car is desgined correctly it wont. Infact you can drive a miata with the top down on the freeway, while raining, and not get wet.

If it's a newer FI car, the speed limited is computer conrtolled. Only way around it is to reprogram the PROM.

100 max (downhill) between Vegas and Baker, CA. I only have a Cavalier so I don't expect much more from it.

you can very easily take that rev limiter off, that is what stops the engine from turning too many rpms. powertech or powerchip makes a drop in chip you can buy that takes this off and adds a bit of power also. they also sell stand alone programming devices that allow you to remove the limiter also as well as mess with more advanced things.

it's not a rev limiter, unless you were approaching redline at 98. The speedo is computer controlled, and when it returns a designated reading, the computer cuts off fuel to the engine.

I don't really know. When I was a kid I did ALL of the 150 mph speedometer in my V8 Charger. But who knows how accurate it was. I don't even remember if it had the stock diameter tires.

It did take both lanes on the freeway to make the turn.

With me driving, 108 (stupid limiter).

With a friend driving, 115 (On the wrong side of the road)

With a cop driving, 136 (in the cop car).

                              With my dad driving, 140
