I think the Requiem(yes I scrolled down to see how it was spelt) soundtrack was done by a little group called Chrono Quartet, I know that had some work on there, not sure which.
Cronos Quartet played the strings. Clint Mansell(of pwei) wrote it.

It isn't that one... I DL'ed it, and your right, it is one of the most overused classical pieces in movies today, but not in this movie.

I know next to nothing about classical music, but for those who do know, was this piece composed specifically FOR requiem? Or is it (really) old school classical?

I'll have to look into the Chronos Quartet too...

For the third time, Clint Mansell composed it for Requiem for a Dream.

Hmm... never heard of either one of them. Sounds like the kind of movie I would love though. What are they rated? I think I might just go rent them tomorrow.

Yeah will have to agree with zaust on this one. very disturbing stuff in some cases. By the sound of it, you probably cant rent them if you had to ask what they are rated. Could always try though

Disturbing as in what? I am curious about these movies now, but movies with really freaky stuff just gets to me. For example, I cannot watch any horror or supernatural type flicks. Well I can, but not without becoming paranoid.

You probably wouldnt like Pi then.

Requiems distirbing because its the saddest movie I ever saw.
