I got arrested last night

hey guys i got arrested for the first time last night and well it was kinda cool but it was for sumthing stupid, it wa for taking 3 of my friends home from playing poker at about 3 am on my 4 wheeler. I only had to drive about 2 miles of pretty much country road and i make this trip at least 5 times a week and have never saw a cop. I had made that trip 4 times that night and oly saw one car and it was a cop. The messed up part is i got 5 tickets.
curfew... i understand the reason for this one

driving with outa liscence... i didnt kow you needed one to drive a 4 wheeler

prohibited operation... god knows what that means

inproper operation of a all terain vehicle... no clue about this one either

and finally no registation for the vehicle... my dad told me they didnt even give him a regisation for the thing back in 91 when he bought it

so if anyone knows about the 4 charges i dont know about please let me know thanks alot

I think if you would have been going alongside the road and not on it, you wouldn't have gotten at least 2 of the tickets, maybe 3.

i was going down a hill with gaurd rails on the side of the road so there really isnt a side of the road to drive on

Well, I don't know the terrain in your area, but I would have avoided that area if possible. But you said you never saw a cop there, so you just got screwed over.

and all the rest of the tickets should depending on your state laws fall under the fact that you are not suppose to have them on roadways. it said this in the manual

in illinois it is only legal to directly cross a road.
ATV's are only supposed to be operated on private property or otherwise state/federal ok'ed land

also depending on your state you could most likly get out of the no registration. if your state doesnt require you to register it then most of the time this will be thrown out.(that i have seen anyway) also for the liscense one
was that plate or drivers? thats another that will be dependent on state law. usually if you cant register your wheeler you cant put a plate on it either.

i know in illinois that we cant register/plate a ATV but if i want to go to wisconsin or michigan which i do every memorial day weekend i have to have it registered. so i register it though wisconsin.

main thing is that you shouldnt have had it on the roadway but around here if your in the country they pretty much leave you alone. read your state laws and remember them.

Bad luck I guess. Do as stated above. I think you're pretty screwed on this one, the cop must have not had any donuts or something. If it were me I would have gotten you for curfew and given you a warning about the other stuff, but I'm not a cop. Good luck dude, you're going to need it.

drving without a liscense-weird, never heard of this either. it usually restricted to age, which means over 16 or 18.

prohibited operation-prob bc you did not have a helmet, had too many riders, or drving crazy

inproper operation-sounds like the same as above

i guess you caught teh wrong cop, at the wrong time, on a bad day

Prohibited = Driving on the street, underage, all those fun things
Improper probably means no helmet, things like that.

I could help you out better if i know what state your in.

But my bet is he was tipped off if you've never seen a sheriff out there before. (I'm assuming it was a sheriff since he should be the only one that has jurisdiction in the country area.)
