    First Time Flying, Little Nervous.

OK, so tonight I leave for LA, the flight takes off about 6:50pm EST. I've never flown before, and I have to be honest, I'm a bit nervous...

I've got some dramamine and magazines to read to keep me occupied. I also think that once I get with my team mates (I'm at work right now), I'll be OK, but I dunno.

I've done roller coasters and such, so I don't think I'll get motion sick. Most of my discomfort should be nerves, if anything...

Any suggestions to ease my mind? AO always has all the answers.

    Thanks ~ Dave

A wee bit 'o whiskey takes the edge off for me.
        wee bit = 1/5th

Not a big fan of leaving the ground either but have been on a couple of flights before. Like GA said, sleep.

dont try to sneak a gun on board...
          j/k

-If its one of those planes that has some seats that face the back of the plane...dont sit in those. It sucks on take-off.

-the closer you are to the front of the plane the faster you can get off and to the next gate, thats if you have a layover. If not, pick any seat u want.

-Dont worry about every little bump, or jolt. The pilot knows what hes doing and where hes going.

-The best advice is what they always say, "Just sit back and relax"

I don't know if sleeping is such a good idea. With 10 team mates o with me, I'm sure to wake up with obscene pictures, something drawn on me, of my hand in my pants...

I might stop in at the bar in the concourse before boarding. There is NOTHING a couple of beers can't fix... I mean... uh... Don't do drugs, kids!

You need a beard, and a towel wrapped around your head. That will make your flight much better. Ask security someone which may Mecca is so you can pray

Have a little alcohol (not too much now, you don't wann get sloppy drunk and start yelling for the stewardesses (sp?) ) and get some sleep.

Not a drinker? (WTF is wrong with you j/k) Bring a book that your interested in. Make sure you read a little before you go so you know it will keep you captivated on the flight.

If you have one, bring a portable DVD player or gaming device.

Ignore the taste of the food. Thats normal.

                  And, have fun!

just remember one thing, if you get plastered on the ground, when the plane gets up to altitude your drunkeness = times 4 or so!

Flying is easy, just sit back and enjoy the ride. If you don't want to sleep then take lots of reading material. You don't do a thing. Just make sure you take all the precautions with your gear. It would suck to show up with a missing or damaged tank or gun.

If you don't wanna sleep, then avoid the dremamine.. Maybe it's just me, but that stuff tends to knock me out for a couple hours..

Oh no, I'm a drinker. Like a FISH!

mmm... 2 beers = 8 at altitude?!?!? Finally, some numbers in my favor! 'Bout time!

And oh yeah, for PyRo: "LALALALALALALALA"

EDIT: Yeah Jeff, I remember what happened to Roco and Phil at MGO last year. I don't really want to be buying new tanks in LA.

I'm not sure which carrier you are flying on, but some will not allow you on the plane if you appear to be drunk.
