movie ticket prices go up AND we now have to sit through advertisements?!

    ya..when i'm at school i get to pay 5 bucks no matter what time too (student discount)...but when i'm back home...BAH! the rates really piss me off, even if i don't have to worry about them while in bing.

      my brother, a former manager for cinemark, told me that for the first 6 weeks a movie is released 90% of the tickets go back to the distributor. after the first 6 weeks the percentage drops to 45%. theaters make almost all of their cash in concessions. he has been in a new job now for about a year so my numbers are a tad dated and they may have only applied to cinemark theaters.

      i cant remember the last time i went to a movie, i usually just wait for the dvd to come out.
