    1) Turbo setup can run you anywhere from 500 bucks to about 4000 bucks. Always go for the top brands. Search DSM forums they can help you there.

    2) If your going turbo, more than likely its going to come with an intercooler. However, if you wish, you could custom route the piping from the inlet. shouldnt cost you much. WOuldnt really be neccessary.

    3) Exhaust for an eclipse can run anywhere from 300 to 800 depending on brand.

    4) Muffler is included in with the exhaust.

    5) Chips, air/fuel controllers, vein pressure control, turbo timer, boost controller, upgraded ignition. Um there are lots of brands. ONce again use top brands, you could go without maybe one of these. couple grand or so for all this.

Oh yea please drop your car before you throw on a body kit. Dont get knockoffs and PAINT IT~!

Installs vary from shop to shop depending on rep. I think the most expensive install is the turbo. Just call around and they can give you quotes.

first sell the eclipse and buy an old corvette (1970-1976 would be a good pick). it will run you about $8,000-$13,000. there ya go, uber fast car, will draw a LOT more looks than a wimpy eclipse ever would, and is great with the chicks. face it, ANYBODY can have an eclipse, and a lot of people do. be original! dont conform to society and buy new crappy sports cars that arent fast!

i guess im a little biased ebcause i have a '75 t-top stingray corvette sitting in my garage praying for warmer wether :P

wat are u talking about my friend has a eclipse gsx with a good 7 grand in mods and he pushes 300+ hp that could deffidently keep up with ur corvette if not school it. and how can u not call eclipses fast i doubt u have ever driven in one. they are fast and many people can vouch for that. u race a good eclipse and i'll laugh at you when you loose. and the finall thing. in my town of falmouth mass, i only know of 1 other owner of an eclipse beside my friend and he crashed his last week.

im just saying its a lot cheaper and (imo) a lot better looker! i didnt mean to tear apart your idea, just giving you a new one. you gave me the perfect example, your friend has an eclipse (price stock, i have no idea, probably $5000 used?) then put 7 g's in mods on and only pushes 300 hp??? $12,000 for 300 hp compared to $9,000 for 350 hp(depending on model)....

didnt mean to make you freak out, i just like the looks of older, more classic cars that not many people have ya know? when i drive it around, everybody's jaw drops. when i see a new sports car, i dont even notice it.

            .

when i think of whos driven a 1970 corvette i gotta be honest. i think of a guy going through a mid-life crisis with a mullet. plus wat happens in teh snow when i hit a patch of ice on a corvette, and then its a corvette in tree all in one.

then again, when i see a kid driving around with a "pimped" out eclipse or civic i think wannabe racer without balls that thinks their car is cool because everybody drives them....

and drive slow in the winter, being extrra cautious usually helps avoid potentially dangerous ice patches.

And God said "let there be muscle cars" and it was good.

Mustangs, Camaros, Dusters, TransAms, etc. They are smaller than their bigger brothers, they have the biggest engine you can stuff into a bay, and can smoke any ricer on the streets. Bad thing is, they don't go in miles per hour, they go in gallons per mile.
*Imagine a big flashy creative sig pic that either involves a cartoon, paintball player, some stupid internet movement or symbol with my name creatively tied into it because I'm too lazy to make one and if you don't like it, get over it!*

so true... that's why I race a ricer instead of a mucle car... And not all ricers can get smoked by muscle cars. lol, gotta watch out for those quick ones.

to each their own, but there's nothing manly about the exaust sound of a 4 banger. I admire ricers but don't roll my windows down to hear them drive by

As for hte eclipse I's say try these instead of what you got listed... WAY more HP for the money

do turbo or super charger. The super charger will have less top end, but more off the line HP and will be ALOT cheaper to install.

instead of a cold air intake go for a intercooler. Looks like a radiator, works like a radiator but it's for air.

Not true. I bet the fastest muscle car beats the fastest ricer

No replacement for displacement! lol, It's still going to be fairly even if you pick the right cars and the right mods.

Also, how do you drop 7g's into a car just to get 300 hp? I could drop 4 g's and get more than that... on my sedan.

                            Who paid $7,000 for 300hp?
It depends on what you want to do. I can buy a car with over 300hp for less than $7,000.
I doubt it would be anywhere near close. There is just more potential in the bigger motor.
Lets look at the copy of Mopar Collectors guide infront of me. There is a nice Cuda with a 340 stoked to 417 running on pump gas putting out 450hp naturaly aspired. Thats only a 340, the 440, the 426 hemi, the 528 wedge would put out even more power. Then you could put nitrous on there and/or a turbo. If its strickly a race car you can get these muscle cars down into the 7's.

                              I'd go muscle.

You don't wanna be one of those moron ricers that has one of those stupid loud mufflers do you?

300hp? The 426 Charger came stock with 425hp.
