Sad isn't it? But it was only one of them American but still. This area that this happened is a hotbed of resistance. An area where the people that used to be in power are now not and they foster this kind of response from people around there to send a message. Its basically a terrorist tactic in a way. Killing innocent people and then scaring anyone around them into showing thier support for that least they be next. We know that there is a percentage that wants to be back in power no matter what. Shame they chose to do this kind of thing. Stand firm. The Muslim people are VERY intolerant of desicration of bodies. Remember the concern when Uday and Cosay were killed? How they were very upset that the bodies were cleaned and shaven? The majority of them will condem this sort of thing.

kinda reminiscant (sp?) of somalia in 93. I dunno, i guess the world is truly ****ed up, and for the life of me, i cant think up a damn thing to do about it. except maybe be glad im here not there.

Well the theory that is going around is that there is a band of "bad guys" that sort of tries to run that town. Now... remember our policy is to stay out of towns all we can. Letting local police and authorities try and deal with them. This particular group of thugs has been known to us for a while now. We have to go back into town and straighten them out every once in a while when they flare up and the locals lose control. So we are heading back into town for a few days. They will hide and unless we can round em up and until there is enough local populous to take care of them on thier own they will keep coming back. Its going to take incidents like this, unfortunately, before the locals will finaly get fed up with these trouble makers and deal with them in thier own way. For now they are still scared of them. And remember some of them are family and niegbors. But the more they do things like this, which I point out again is as untastefull to them as it is us, The populous will raise up and get rid of them. I think they will. This is exactly the kind of thing they do not want the world to see about them. Someone is going to take these thugs out. Soon I bet.
