Absolute Auctions are great too. Show up with 50 bucks, push the old folks out of the way, get cool stuff for absolutely dirt cheap.
Most of my power tools came from auctions. Doesn't cost to attend. Got a 20 year old solid metal craftsman belt sander for $4 at the last one.
Anything heavy and hard to move goes dirt cheap too. Rainy Tuesday auctions are the BEST!!

Good luck to her, once its on the street its abandond property and therefore his. She can sue the maid thats about it. Then again its not the U.S. so who knows what the laws are.

I don't like those old metal things, I would definatly manage to shock myself somehow.

Whats an absolut auction? I havn't managed to find anything of the sort around me
I did to well at a garage sale today.
                        Craftsman 3in belt sander
Craftsman drill (i'm too lazy to look at the specs)
                        Craftsman toolbox
Craftsman beanch grinder (damn this guy loved craftsman tools)
                        Assorted screwdrivers
                        An oil can thing

Same guy last year I got a 2 drawer tool box, and a bunch of assorted snap on, mac, and sk sockets.

Someone is also throwing out a riding mower, i'm working on getting my hands on a truck to grab that one. If anyone sees a black camaro towing a lawn tractor wave

check your sunday paper in the classifieds. Just look for absolute auctions.
Usually, someone passes away and the family hires an auction company to sell the stuff off. It works just like the auctions you see on t.v. except it's usually at the folks home and stuff is piled everywhere. You would TRULY be amazed at what is sold and for how much. Most of the antique stores and flea markets you see are just auction stuff.
I saw a 14 foot boat with 10hp motor on trailer sell for $155 two weeks ago.
I saw 6 foot deep freezers sell for $50 each because no one wanted to move them.
If your looking for second hand furniture, appliances or tools...auction.

food dumpsters have a distinct smell, you learn to stay away from those. i found a microwave coffee table and a couple of recliners next to the movie theatre so me and my friend javan set it up like a living room and pretended to watch the tv until the manager came out and ran us away.
